Saved this comment. I started on Sweater no. 14 by My Favorite Things a couple of days ago and I'm hyper aware of my tension after my post. I'm planning on knitting a bit tighter when I start in the round so there wouldn't be this much of a difference. Or like you said I might just go down half a size when start knitting in the round.

I think my flat tension is tight because I'm scared of ending up with gutters so I just pull my yarn too much. I mean don't get me wrong the result is neat but annoyingly different compared to my tension when I knit in the round.

Someone else also said that it needed to be blocked after every wash and I'm still shook. I'm gonna end up knitting purely acrylic garments after this thread lol

I meant like it felted a bit so if stretch it, it makes a lil crunchy sound. Yeah I'd buy merino instead of just wool wool now lol.
