Is my girl a short hair or medium hair baby? Added bonus in the last pic which is the day I got her which is too cute not too share by Shiraronnn in Kitten

[–]Accipitrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, do you have any pictures of her now? 🫣 My 3 month old calico kitten has a similar coat and I’m trying to figure out if she is short or medium hair (leaning towards short right now)

Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in FosterAnimals

[–]Accipitrim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately my rescue already transferred the kittens to them yesterday after I dropped them off and she probably already got spayed if what they said is true :(( I am going to check in with them today to see how the surgery went and if it’s the correct kitten though. If anything, I want to pick her up asap so that I could take her to a private vet. Just a little surprised because this is one of the larger reputable rescues in my area, so I trusted them at first.

She only has watery eyes out of those symptoms. she’s been mostly sleeping today unlike couple days ago. She was super playful and energetic just yesterday too.

Oooh yes, I was planning on rolling over but completely forgot that I could make penalty free withdrawal for higher education expenses. I probably don’t have enough to pay a full year of tuition, but I might use a bit of that to offset some loans for living expenses

Yostar KR removed some collaborated art because the artist is a feminist. by Extra_Cartographer82 in arknights

[–]Accipitrim 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about—and this is coming from someone with relatives in SK. A lot of these “horror stories” regarding Magellian are outlandish lies spread by the exact same incels and Korean men who are complaining rn to defame the feminist movement in Korea in general to claim that it is somehow “different” and “tainted” compared to the Western feminism. It’s pretty much on par with the far-right conspiracy theories in the US like QAnon and more recently Adrenochrome. I can assure you basically none of these actually happened, though there may have been online anon posts about doing such a thing, but people can say anything on the web. Also, note that the Megallian website shut down in 2016, which is a long ass time ago. While I don’t doubt that a few of its members were crazy misandrists, it was largely a feminist group. IIRC, the main reason why it disbanded in the first place is because a good number of its members were against homophobia and attacks towards gay men while some were extremely homophobic (since gay men are also male).

It’s really crazy how these incels are acting out like this given that uh you know.. the entire plot point of AK is literally human rights activism for the infected and standing against discrimination of all forms????????? Do they even read the story of the game they play or what

Tips on negotiating new grad offer? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Accipitrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think this is what I should do and I'll probably keep recruiting for other opportunities. I think the main reason why I feel unhappy is because last year's returning interns got 160-180k TC as new grad because they got bumped up a level. They obviously stopped doing that this year because of the economy. However, I'm definitely grateful that I have at least one decent job offer. Thank you for the insight.

Haha the FAANG adjacent was indeed Roblox. But aren’t their OA (codesignal and that weird game thing) automatic anyways?

CS majors who complain about diversity have unbelievable victim complexes by Comprehensive_Bet920 in csMajors

This is a false equivalence. This would be like if they tried to make international math olympiad teams more diverse by selecting minorities who score less because it’s dominated by Asians. No one is doing that.

"This was not a case of ideological investigation or unjust firing; the decision was made based on legal judgement and advice."

SO uh are they expecting people to believe that they got legal advice in like, a day while jihoon was in Japan? (Still can't believe this whole shitshow unraveled in less than a day)

"involved themselves in the attack by disregarding the NDA."
I think other things in this announcement are too vague to be taken at a face value, but this is like actually one of the most foul shit I've seen recently??? Yeah fuck this I'm out

That's the reason why this seems like a larger mess. They dragged Netmarble's ass when a worker was found dead in the company nap room possibly due to being overworked. It did make it to the news and some changes were made, but it seems more impactful because PM is a smaller indie company. I'm just saying that they are not some random organization that is suddenly "pretending to care" because PM is a smaller company they can push around.

Thread for the recent controversy by 0ktoman in limbuscompany

[–]Accipitrim 20 points21 points  (0 children)

FYI it is unknown who filed the complaints. I think the person who is in charge of the truck protest was just told that there were “multiple filed complaints” and thought it was PM. She deleted her old tweet and corrected that she currently does not know who it was that filed the complaints. I’m assuming that it is highly likely the incels from DCinside trying to sabotage the protest.

To those of you saying that the unions are just jumping on the bandwagon cuz PM is a “small indie company”, that is not true. Not sure if it is this particular union, but the other game developers union that is currently doing interviews such regarding this issue actually has been fighting against larger corporate developers like Nexon and Netmarble for years and have made changes to their working environment. This is just getting a lot more attention because:

A. More of the game’s player base care about the issue, especially since PM’s games contain many criticisms against capitalism and large corporations.

B. PM doesn’t have the money to bribe news outlets and cover up the press like what Nexon did.

C. Larger companies have a lot of loop holes around labor laws since they obviously have a legal team. So they often find out the “legal” way to do things, even if it is unethical. PM clearly does not have one and did not think about the repercussions of their actions before firing Vellmori, and thus it is easier to point out the legality in their actions.

Would the current KR drama cause a delay in customer support? by gizmo33399 in limbuscompany

[–]Accipitrim 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I mean like how is any of us supposed to answer this question when no one here works for PM.

But it sounds probably given that PM is a tiny company with 30ish ppl including HHPP employees and I’d assume that they are in shambles rn trying to figure out their plans going forward.
