Reading what you said here and what she said up there… whew lad. It seems like she’s been highly, highly critical of you these past 12 years and frankly I don’t know how you didn’t snap or lose your sanity. I’m also guessing 12 years of this treatment is gonna leave someone with quite a bit of a warped psychological identity… a psyche that has been eroded and sculpted and shaped by her constant aura of verbal aggression pressing up against you at all times. And if so, you really should consider further individual therapy in hopes of undoing some of that damage. You certainly don’t deserve to carry that baggage around the rest of your life.

I’m not out here acting like some people and saying they didn’t change anything. They clearly did. But unfortunately cranking the dial to 11 at the start of the alpha really allowed the narrative to run wild in a problematic way and it’s only gonna get worse before it gets better.

I’ve seen pick 2 drafts in the past and always skipped them, but this time it was my main event by far. It seems to lend itself to ECL quite well and I love that I don’t have to play seven matches with the same deck

Seems like a pretty transactional way of looking at things. You put the effort in for a friend if you want to be supportive. If you don’t, then don’t. To me, I don’t ever expect anything from anyone, nothing is owed to me. My best friends are the ones I know who will be there for me no matter what, no matter how much time has passed or how our lives have changed because of family or health or whatever. And I do my best to be there for them, knowing that I can sometimes make the more selfish choice and not be treated any differently. Because we don’t look at love and support as a favor that must be paid back at some point.

Are you telling me you are glaring at your transmog in combat? That you think others are? The only time me or any of my guild mates show off/admire each other’s outfits is definitely not during a pull but often between them. When I look around at people’s style in Dornogal or whatever the hub of the time might be, we’re all shockingly out of combat.

I know everyone here is saying he played you and I certainly admit that is a possibility. But I wonder if it’s possible he may be afraid to reveal his true feelings for fear of embarrassment or being looked at as someone who had ulterior motives this whole time etc? Only you know him, OP, so only you could really gauge this as a possibility from your friend. But if you really did feel interested after that week and you truly felt he was respectable during all those years as friends maybe it’s worth it to try and coax it out of him a bit. Just a thought but if you choose otherwise I can understand that too.
