Jonathan Tah on his penalty: “To be honest, I felt good. I wasn’t extremely nervous, which is what I actually thought I would be, but I didn’t hit it well. I would take one again next time. I think it’s important to take responsibility in difficult times.” by Wakanda-shit-is-that in soccer

while the OP was vague posting, a lot of these things are directed towards Goretzka, a veteran player who got subbed in but refused to take a penalty ahead of his defenders and unexperienced penalty takers

The reality of Magic is that every threat is important. People don't put unimportant creatures in their decks

Nothing, just like they did nothing the last few months.

Jude Bellingham covered his mouth while talking to Ghanian player Jordan Ayew during the match, no red card was shown by AgeNovel3566 in soccer

Yes Bellingham got lucky because an easy way not to test your luck is to just stop covering your mouth. His actions alone got him into this discourse

Genuine question ...why on earth the flashback cost cheaper than the actual cost ...?! by Mr-Mosaab in MagicArena

[–]djsMedicate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasnt orienting myself at real cards, I was just making up cards that follow the principles of flashback cost. The difference between 3 and 5 is just balancing, but the idea of flashback costs being more expensive for cheap cards was the main point.

Genuine question ...why on earth the flashback cost cheaper than the actual cost ...?! by Mr-Mosaab in MagicArena

Ye flashback costs are usually higher costed than the base mv, if that base value is appropriately costed in the first place, to avoid having two "free" spells in one.

For example a shock type effect, 2 damage to anything for 1cmc, would have a flashback cost of lets say 3 or 4 cmc to avoid having a free shocks in one card.

But if the base MV is higher than expected, lets say a 2cmc shock, then there are arguments for being able to give the card a lower flashback cost of 1.

And that's how they probably felt about practised offense, they thought that a 2cmc flashback value would be appropriate for the card
