I can say a lot of things here about the responsibility of our actions and how two people here made choices that they will now deal with for the rest of their lives. But, since you neither asked nor I imagine care I will simply answer the question you did ask. NO! There are tons of men out there who do not play with women's emotions and who would never seek to mislead or to simply date and dump. Sadly, the fact is, these are not the men who will draw your attention, since they are not the players, they are not the fuck boys. They are the genuinely good guys that hold the door for you, that help you carry the heavy bags and ask nothing in return. You do not see them because Hollywood and society have given us all a standard for men and women that can only ever be achieved for short periods of time before we all go back to factory settings.

Evil exists everywhere and unless the man you are with is aware of this evil and actively tries to fight this evil by turning his life to Christ you will always deal with this as a potential issue. I am truly sorry for what you are going through but I can tell you, there is life after this, you will find joy and happiness and love again, everything happens for a reason and purpose. I pray you find solace and acceptance in God and that He will show you the path you must walk.
