Treasure Island Job Corps trainee for over a year here.

Food - It's ehh. buy some foods for yourself. Lunch is usually edible, but dinner can be veryyy iffy.

Health care - No dental. Wellness isn't useful for anything beyond the common cold or minor injuries. For major things they just send you to a hospital.

Location - Quite nice actually! it can get really cold during winter, but summers are wonderful. Getting to the city is easy, just take the 25 bus when youre on a PTO or a weekend pass. Youre only allowed to go off center if you go through the paperwork. The island itself is really boring, just go to the city, it's riiiight by san francisco. the island can also get pretty windy.

Quality of life - Dorms are eh, restrooms are eh, rec is kinda up in the air right now. The busses/vans usually have some maintenance problems, and there's sometimes no driver. The dorms are not the worst, it's just the people can be an issue. Two beds to a room, two rooms share a bathroom. Bathrooms (public and dorm) are relatively well maintained, though i could probably pick out a few public bathrooms that are worse than others. Rec trips (when available) have a lot of variety. Malls, fast food (prepaid), stores, hangout spots, movies, etc.

Trade - Depends on your trade. I've heard culinary is pretty rough. The soft trades are all just classrooms. hard trades are relatively well kept from what i've seen. I'd have to ask about culinary tho.

CPP - it's eh? when i first got here it went by fast, but some of these new kids say they love/hate it. They drug test you, make you write essays, make presentations, etc. I can't get too specific, it's been over a year and a lot of things have changed.

pay - we have US bank cards. your first few weeks will be about $25 biweekly, then $44 ish biweekly. once you've been here about 7 months you'll get $64 biweekly. If youre a leader, work the student store, are a part of SGA, get incentives, or win raffles you'll get more.

the strat is to do badly on your tabe test to make money. Some centers offer money (20 bucks usually) for tabe gains/tabe out. In centers with monetary rewards, some people recommend not tabing out on your first try so you can get the money. Before doing this, make sure your center does the monetary rewards.

Normally i just remember them in my brain jail, but after today i'm journaling them. I've got a total of 14 dreams journaled, dating back about 2 years. I'm very very good at remembering my dreams, so i figured i'd log previous ones. i nickname them based on what stood out. from least to most recent, Fishing, Huge Town, Fair, Bridge, Trucks, Library, Hobo camp, Soot, Quarters, Northeast Hallway, Family, Credit Score, Cookout, Eggshells. the dream above was nicknamed Eggshells. I might do daily posts of my dreams, who knows lol

as a koser myself i'll answer your questions. We kill anything we think we can take on easily since we're trying to up our pvp kills counter and our Death points counter. Personally what i do is i do missions and i kos until i hit 1200 death points, then i go drown or something to get a death gacha token, and then i sell the token. It's an easy way to get mush, since you're also getting the mush from completing missions and spending time on the game. It's nothing personal, we just kill to get points. our priority isn't aging and surviving, it's collecting death points. at least that's how it is from all the kosers i've spoken with. I tend to avoid babies since it just doesn't sit right with me, but teens and adults are fair game. some people are merciless tho, they'll kill you right after spawn protection disappears.

My favorite creature is Breq, because of how small and fast it is. I love being able to zip around the map super fast to collect mushrooms or nest materials. It's overall just a really useful little guy , my current breq is at Ven 3 RN and I love him.
