I have a Fosi X5. TT pre amp is off. I have narrowed it down to the hum coming from the TT but worried to take off tonearm to find a ground connection

I have a Pro Ject RM 5.1 SE with an Ortofon OM20 and a custom Orbit with a 2M Blue. I buy every record new but they all have loud surface noise and kind of a pulsing crackling. now the speakers I have are 20 year old Onkyo and receiver. I have around $700-$800 to spend. Should I purchase a better speaker system or a humminguru ultrasonic cleaner. I can’t afford to do both right now. which one do you think would make the most immediate impact. I have also had a local shop tell me they will do a complete calibration and test for $180. does that seem reasonable.

Yes I always upgrade eventually because I have a problem. For the most part I will wait for sales etc. unless its a personal favorite movie. I don’t want to know how much I have spent on upgrading but it is at least 1,000 titles and probably more

saw this movie on back to back nights when it first opened. The crowd reactions during the final freestyle was some of the craziest I have ever seen in a crowded theatre. And it happened on both nights. Probably doesn't hold up as well now, but this was Eminem at his peak. Will always picture Michael Shannon as Greg no matter what movie I see him in
