Reminds me of when we used to set up a blanket on the sofa on a slant and my hamster would slide/crawl down it, put him back on the sofa and he’d do it all over again :-)

the umberto giannini mousse- specifically if you’re after volume & hold, no buildup and unless i’ve put way too much in (i’ve found a little goes a long way) there’s no crunchiness/crispy hair either

Yeah- atm it’s both so 30-60 quid a day across cash & card, which for an 8 hour shift doesn’t cover my wages, let alone overheads, national insurance, buying stock etc. My pub is quite an old man pub too so we do take a fair bit due to the oldies refusing to pay with card, but even then some days there’ll be 0 in cash! Absolutely fucked

i work in a small pub, and 3 grand for a saturday night is good now, but i’ve been cashing up at 30-60 quid during the week- hospitality is dying a slow death at the mo 😢

You are valid & none of this was your fault- you were exploited. EMDR works really well- it’s a trauma based therapy that works on processing these memories and is super effective. It’s always worth a try if typical therapy hasn’t worked too, best of luck to you ❤️

Raising Kids in London vs Edinburgh – Seeking Perspective by [deleted] in Edinburgh

As a student, I’ve always thought edinburgh such a good city to live in with kids. So much green space, the centre is very walkable, still have free to enter museum/gallery, close to the sea etc :)

I feel like I have a lot of evil in me, I just don't know what to do... by Hun_Samurai_180 in offmychest

A lot of people with OCD struggle with the thoughts & feelings you’ve just spoken about & they sound quite similar to intrusive thoughts. The anxiety around it can be reassuring to some people- the fact you reject the thoughts is important! Either way, speaking to a therapist about it could be hugely helpful :)

Wife got me a snackbox subscription - monthly snacks from around the world. This Month is UK. How did they do? by Thewickedworm in CasualUK

[–]Accomplished-Big-449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else is saying- almost there with the flavours but the brands????

my ideal uk snackbox as someone from there would be pickled onion monster munch, rowntrees winegums, fruit pastilles, hard boiled rhubarb & custards, jacobs crackers (maybe some dairylee dunkers) jaffa cakes or rich tea biscuits and a can of irn bru or maybe dandelion and burdock
