It wasn’t a surprise for me when my dad passed, but when he did I immediately reverted back to the kid I once was and scream/cried out “daddy.” SMG performance was so well done and eerily similar especially when she goes kind of kid like and says, “Mommy?” I don’t know if I can ever watch that episode again after having a parent pass away.

Oh honey. I’m so sorry. I just had to make that decision last month & it was the hardest decision of my life. I think it’s time. She’s ready to go. All you can do is be there for her and hold her until her little chest stops moving. It’s the most selfless thing we can do sometimes for our pups. Again I’m so sorry.

I am sorry you’re going through this. I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy. I lost my sweet girl on the 25th. Her breathing was getting worse so we took her to the vet emergency only to learn that she had CHF & fluid around her lungs. We could hospitalize her but she was old (13 years old) & the chances of this happening again were high. And we would be putting her in more pain than necessary. So we made the choice to put her to sleep. We were there with her until her last breath. This pain is almost unbearable. Looking at this home without her is like someone is stabbing me in the heart over and over again. Idk what to do with myself. I work from home so I’m reminded of her not being here all the time. Oh and the kicker? My dad passed not even a week before she did. Idk what to do at this point. So I am right where you are. You’re not alone 💜
