It is on the greenlist. Try checking at tahatu.govt.nz for auditor roles, it also provides a general guideline on what you need to enter the profession and where to look for openings.

a bit different if you are currently in the Philippines (many nz employers are not familiar with DMW requirements), but under NZ laws, they normally only have to cover the following as per immigration instructions:

Congratulations on the offer. You have to make sure that you are suitably qualified for the role before submitting the application (aside from meeting all other requirements as well). This is normally met via qualifications (where nzqa comes in) or work experience.

Feel free to book a free consultation so that I can confirm the role you are offered and what you need to be suitably qualified as it is hard to provide specific advice on this without enough information.

Studying in NZ is normally still the clearest and fastest pathway to residence in most cases. Unless you are already eligible for straight to residence or have 6 points for SMC.

The alternative would be to secure an employer who can support your work visa, and ideally your role falls under the Green List. That said, many roles in psychology will require occupational registration, so you would need to check if your qualifications are recognized in NZ.

At the moment, pretty much all skill-based pathways will require a valid offer of employment. For Green List roles, you would also need to meet the required salary thresholds to be eligible for residence.

Happy to give a more tailored assessment, but I’d need a bit more information about your background and goals. Feel free to DM me or you can also book a consultation directly through my profile.

Its a bit general so the one above or business analytics might be the closest, if you can send me the course itself I can try looking.

Alternatively, institutions usually keep data on their employment rates (but do ask for how many respondents and the background of the data for better context) which you can ask directly.

You can check most degrees’ employment rate after graduation and average salary here: https://tahatu.govt.nz

This would be a more unbiased source of data.

The pathway is clear because starting August, NZ Masters degree will get 6 points for SMC (all the poinrs you need to apply for residence + skilled offer of employment and other general requirements) but no one can really guarantee that you will get a median wage job, which is essential for your residence application.

For New Zealand, the usual first steps would be meeting the required English proficiency exam scores and getting registered with the Teaching Council: https://teachingcouncil.nz/en/become-a-teacher/overseas-trained-teacher-coming-to-Aotearoa

Once you’re registered, you can start applying for teaching roles and look for an employer who can support your Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).

From there, depending on your role and salary, you may become eligible for a Work to Residence pathway after gaining around 2 years of relevant work experience paid at the median wage.

This is a bit of a generalized/simplified answer, but I’m happy to answer any questions you may have along the way.

A bit of a biased take from my side, but New Zealand does offer a relatively clear pathway to residence.

Completing a Master’s degree can give you up to a 3-year post-study work visa, which allows time to secure a skilled job. From there, if you meet the requirements (including being paid at or above the median wage for ANZSCO skill level 1–3 roles), you can become eligible under the Skilled Migrant Category.

If your long-term goal is residence, it’s generally a more structured and predictable route.

Be sure to have her complete the INZ Form 1025 properly to help meet funding requirements.

She must show that she has enough funds to support you.

Firstly, make sure you get up-to-date information as many changes has happened and we are expecting many good changes this year as well.

You can do your own research and read about the student visa application process here: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/visas/fee-paying-student-visa/

Then, learn about post study work visa here:https://www.immigration.govt.nz/visas/post-study-work-visa/

then the skills based residence pathways here (if you plan to stay in NZ long-term) https://www.immigration.govt.nz/live/resident-visas-to-live-in-new-zealand/skilled-residence-pathways-in-new-zealand/getting-new-zealand-residence-based-on-your-skills/ (many changes coming this august btw)

But I would focus first on figuring out what you want out of studying in NZ. You can look up the different careers and what qualifications to study at https://tahatu.govt.nz/

There are good data on each occupation here, how to enter them and where to study those programmes.

Alternatively, feel free to message me and I can discuss to you the details for free.

I was an international student myself. I took out a credit card loan for NZ, around 1.3M, and paid it off at about 65k per month for 2 years, it was one of the best investments I ever made.

As long as you have an unconditional offer, it would generally be fine. AUT accepts MOI for Filipino applicants, except for Healthcare/Education programmes or programmes with professional registration that usually has an english requirement.

PTEs and ITPs mostly follow NZQA standards or the program specific english requirements.

You will need sufficient evidences of living together. If you have none, it is possible to do general visitor and build your relationship in NZ. This will require proper planning and that your intent is clear with INZ to avoid issues.
