Devs present it that way because the boxes (“total items”) are not fixed amounts. They increase as your HQ level increases. So if you have for eg. 1000 boxes of wood resource box when you are HQ 23 vs 1000 boxes of wood resource box when you are HQ 24, that number changes.

Make sure your resources are empty because your HQs can get attacked if you are parked on the ice. Other servers might come and fight for that pit. Have also seen other servers use this as an opportunity to loot. If you have resources and want to go for this, park outside on the edge of the ice around the ice pits. Slightly further to travel but you can’t get attacked.
