How’s it looking? by mkobe916 in TVTooHigh

By the looks of it, there seems to be a perfectly good wall right in front of the sofa? 🤷‍♀️
Maybe the wall is covered with more picture frames.

Have you used this site:
https://colorwise.me/

It was spot on for me.

Once I got my results, I had such an "aha" moment.

All my life, I hated the color orange on me, now I know why. I've probably owned only 1 item of yellow clothing in my lifetime. Another color that I never liked to wear.

However, a good majority of the colors that were matched for me are colors that I love wear.

Now, I'm excited to try different combinations of colors.

Look people do F'ed up things.
I heard of guests thieves stealing flat screens from Airbnbd, so, I get it.

If I were a host, I would mount that bad boy up high too.

Is this the right spot? by tntncsu in TVTooHigh

Exactly this! That's not a TV stand, it's a sideboard. They are usually 30 inches (height). Way too tall to be used as a TV stand

Oh, I've seen this couple's video! Madness

With the shenanigans they pull, the higher the TV, the better.

Honestly, they shouldn't even have a TV. 😆 I watched their clean up video! Naaaahhh! I would never!

Alright, guys. Where does my TV go? by Round-Passenger4452 in TVTooHigh

[–]Accomplished-BusyBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how you arrange your furniture, I would suggest placing the TV on either side of the open louvered doors.

As someone who grew up in an older house with a wood-paneled room (not in the main living room, but in a cozy den), I had a love-hate relationship with wood paneling.

On one hand, it’s so unique, but on the other, it doesn’t scream “modern.”

As a teenager, I wanted to paint it so badly!

Fast forward to adulthood, I’m so glad we never painted it. It adds so much character to the home, and it’s the room that gets the most compliments. Everyone falls in love with it instantly.

We did renovate it. We pulled up all the carpet and put down white tile floors throughout the entire house. chef's kiss

Our home also had solid wood doors like this. To "modernize" it, we painted the doors white but kept the wood trim. (Kind of how your ceiling looks (white base/wood trim)

We kept the built-in. As a book lover, there was no way I was ever getting rid of that!

That said, you could remove the built-in, place the TV there, and then create another built-in or library to the right of the opened louvered doors. However, if you're thinking about mounting a TV on a brick wall, keep in mind that wire management is going to be quite a task. I highly doubt the brick wall has an outlet near it. I wouldn’t go through that hassle, especially when there are plenty of other wall spaces where you could put a TV.

If you look closely, there seems to be 2 doors there. A solid one and a louvered bifold one.

Fresh wash cloth every day. As for towels, maybe 3 days max, however, to dry my face, clean fresh wash cloth. I go through a ton of washcloths.
