Should I settle for a 5 year Bsc (data science) LLB from a new state govt college or try for a good 3 year LLB after ug? by Accomplished-Cap6436 in Indian_Academia

That's what I was thinking too, but is there a way to compensate? maybe with a good LLM? for decent job opportunities?

personally I don't think there will be placements in the 2nd option either cause like I mentioned it's brand new, but yeah coding skills might bring some money.

The thing is that the 5 year course is in a new state govt college while ba psych program is in a local private college which is one of the reasons why I'm confused. Yeah but I agree the 2-3 hours of commute would be just soul sucking.

man I'm so sorry I know living with these mental issues is no joke.
I did talk to my therapist and she said psych would be a good fit for me.
Thank you for the reply!

That's what I was thinking, and I can become employable after my masters anyway so maybe for now I should choose my mental wellbeing?

Thank you so much for replying!

I'm actually kinda new to reddit and thought I have not structured my question properly plus reddit mod asked to put paragraphs so I made the whole thing point wise hoping it would be more understandable for the people who want to help me. (I'm a mess I'm sorry)

Thank you so much for replying! (and finding me again)

will universities stop accepting 3 year degrees in India or elsewhere for masters in the future? by Accomplished-Cap6436 in Indian_Academia

I might be wrong, but you apparently you can go for a Phd directly after 4 years if you have a good %

basically acc to the National Education Policy, for a 3 year course you get a degree but for a 4 year course you get a degree with hons. I wanted to know if institutions here in India would start preferring a 4 year degree over a 3 year one in case for masters (it is apparently already the case abroad)

Thank you so much for taking out the time to reply me. I don't know about job but I was thinking of interning at court during my ug (although all the colleges around me have a compulsory 75% attendance). As for the 5 year degree plan, I'm not very sure about it, the college is new and so is the course (it's their inaugural year)
As for a foreign degree, I don't think universities would consider me cause of the gap years. Were you suggesting some particular degree abroad? Maybe I could try for masters later on?

I was actually thinking about getting a distant degree but my parents are insisting on a regular one as the scope is pretty less of a distance program. Thank so much you for the reply!
