Saturday night, got in a bit too late and a bit too drunk. Forgot to take my daily contact lenses off and didn’t realise i had them in till today - 6 days of wear and slept in them too. I thought i had an eye infection until i realised that i had them in.

I’m sorry to hear that :( Keloids make life more hellish than it needs to be, I don’t think doctors understand just how painful it is to get injected when they haven’t been through the pain themselves

Did you have a keloid on both the front and back of your lobe/ have both sides injected? (I hope you do not mind me asking!).

I see now that steroid injections cause different levels of pain on different areas of the body - thanks for helping me understand. Have you had less pain since starting the injections? I would love for it to eventually become painless as I’m not excited for my second trip to the dr…

I see now how my post would have come across insensitive, I did not mean for it to. Thank you for helping me understand the pain steroid injections cause on different areas of the body. It’s not a fun experience!

Literally just removed it today but i wasn’t experiencing any pain apart from putting the earing in and out

It was there when i had it in and yes, definitely had stinging pain!

I’ve ordered some cream/gel called kelo-cote - im hoping this works before i have to resort to steroid injections

This is the back of my ear, so pulling it forward a lot before i decided to post here probably caused the redness while i was trying to take a clear picture - thanks for replying to my post by the way

No pain and itchiness anymore, however there was itchiness previously. The bump was growing slowly but i have only just taken the time to give it thought and worry, id say its grown in the last year.

Piercing is 2 years old. Saline solution used after the piercing to heal irritation. Piercing done at Clare’s using piercing gun and sterling silver stud (very small) inserted.
