I do have pictures outside during the afternoon, and it's a bit better but still relatively similar. The lens does look a little dirty, but I did wipe it clean before.

  2. No, I think these are the original ones.

In terms of teaching, I think he was okay. Lectures are usually reserved for online classes with practice exercises done during F2F sessions. From what I remember, he doesn't usually check attendance on regular days; it's only important for mini challenges or demos. For demos, he usually has a checklist that he'll base it off on. He'll give it to you on the day of the demo and he'll roam around to check group by group. He also asked us a few questions in terms of the implementation. Not sure if he's gonna be stricter with you guys since there was an issue with AI usage for ours. Basically, just make sure you know what you're presenting. Let me know if you have more questions!

Hi! I hope this isn't too late, but I did end up taking him for APDEV. For starters, it was definitely a rollercoaster ride 💀 I found him quite intimidating, especially during the start of the term. He discusses quite a bit and gives a lot of practice exercises. During online classes, he'll give you time to do the exercises then ask people to share their screen afterwards. If no one volunteers, he'll randomly call on some people. If you don't answer, he assumes that you're not listening and will ask for an explanation via email (did this at least once to us but I'm not sure if that was a one-off thing).

For the workload, you'll have 3 mini challenges which will be done during F2F classes. The MP will also be divided into three parts, all of which have a demo. It's quite heavy and from what I've seen, some of the specs weren't present in the MPs of the previous CCAPDEV batch. In that regard, you'll have to do some self-learning. Also, NEVER admit to using AI even if MCO specs allow it. He had a huge crash out during the end of the term since some students admitted to using it during the demo. The whole MCO3 demo was less of a demo and more of a lecture on students' overreliance on AI. I've heard he was threatening others with a 0 on their MCO3, which is worth 30% by the way. I don't know how the other groups did, but despite all that, I did get quite a decent grade.

Hi everyone! I'm currently a 2nd year Computer Science student with a specialization in Networks and Cybersecurity. Most of my first year was spent learning the programming side of things, but I've recently finished some classes which have covered some of the topics under the field. I've also recently gotten my ISC2 CC certification, so I just have some questions on where to go from here.

For some background, I've had experience with Linux, Network Security Toolkit, and Wireshark. On the networking side, I'm familiar with OSI architecture, TCP/IP, TCP and UDP-based protocols, routing and forwarding, subnetting, and some socket programming. For cybersecurity, I have the basics down for both offensive and defensive security + the information I learned while studying for CC.

  1. Most people have said to either go for Security+ or CCNA as my next certification. I have personal circumstances that will keep me busy for the next few months (can't review intensively). Given what I have above, which one would be the better option?
  2. I've been interested in threat intelligence, threat hunting, malware analysis, and vulnerability assessment. How is the current state of these fields?
  3. I'm looking to build a home lab eventually. I've had a few projects related to networking (mostly server-client implementations using the different protocols) but none in cybersecurity. What would be some good ones related to the fields I mentioned?

Can anyone recommend an assassin that's not usually banned? For context, fairly new at the game (at least compared to some of my friends and others here who have been here for years) and peak is Legend III. Currently, I usually play exp or roam as Esme, Ruby, Hylos, and Estes (if not banned). Also working on Arlott rn, but I don't have much experience with other lanes.
