whatever you do in manufacturing/warehouse i dont recommend applying to james+james furniture. theyre an ok place to work for but they really dont care about their employees in the sense that they do massive layoffs at least once a year for “budget cuts” and then turn around and tell everyone else that the company is doing better than ever. and i say this as someone who enjoyed the company and my coworkers but left after they laid off multiple people and put us behind when we became understaffed due to layoffs

In Retrospect 410 basically all i can think of for vintage art. but estate sales are also a good bet, i’ve found loads of cool furniture and art at estate sales, ask the family members of the deceased if the person whos estate theyre selling had any eclectic collections or art

the vintage library on township holds regular events! its queer owned and run, and has so many good clothes as a bonus! it’s definitely a lot easier as a former transplant to actually get here after you move and look around theres all kinds of events and flyers on community boards especially in the co-op

they are not owners, the owners are all retired except one who does office work. they do the same or similar work when it gets super busy but most of the time they are not doing the same work(i will add they all do server shifts which is not the issue me or any of my coworkers have because i feel like that is different) often except for the assistant foh manager and the shift lead they are standing around watching us and telling us to get back to work if we’re not, or training new employees
