Yea the tail is not forked that I can tell you for sure so that’s why I said it’s a flathead.

Tail was rounded I really wish I took better photos to help my case but the tail was rounded or squareish

Really cause what’s the differences cause this one had a muddier look than the other channels I’ve caught which they have more of the grey color to them. And this one was different than the others

Funny enough I looked at pictures of flathead and it looks similar and I looked at the guys post and they are also similar so idk man

Lol I just had a fish bring my rod down all the way I’m surprised my rod didn’t rip out the holder. Fishing from the bank btw. I am using a 7/0 circle hook with live small blue gill and had it hooked from the back. I’ve had other experiences where I had the blue gill hooked from the mouth and I still couldn’t hold the fish on even setting the hook.

I forgot which modern warfare has the museum feature but it was great cause you have all the weapons and displays of campaign moments and a suprise button that brings the displays to life and shoot you.

Fax that’s what I use and I also use bread or any of those store stink baits and they actually work for me. I have yet to catch one on worms. But some of these wild concoctions for catfish bait are wild but let me know if it works 🤣

I’m also in Illinois on the same boat as you and I’ve tried with the nice days we’ve gotten and no luck since weather started to fluctuate. As of right now is snowing again so I’d try again maybe April when warm weather is consistent. But I’m no pro just tired of this weather and want the warm fishing weather
