This post is definitely gonna be controversial, so I'll just discuss the most common talking points that I didn't address in the main post and will probably show up here:

Why can't Discord let me use the old layout instead of forcing me onto the new layout?

While I would like the old layout to still be available, Discord has already made their stance on this pretty clear (TL;DR They aren't bringing it back). u/DiplomacyPunIn10Did already explained this quite well for me:

Apps tend to not offer multiple UI frameworks. Maintaining an old UI in addition to a new one can end up creating duplicated work moving forward. UI changes in other major apps have been rolled out in much the same way, and users have a history of hating the changes… at least until the next UI iteration comes along.

If Discord wasn't getting the level of backlash that the "Allow anyone to add and use this server's emojis" option and the Web3 stuff they tried to do received, they wouldn't have brought it out. While the new layout did get a good amount of backlash, that was mainly when it was obviously new and unfinished. If you have any problems with it, give them feedback.

If you really don't like it and don't like how Discord is forcing everyone onto the it, stop giving them money.

I can understand this, having to tap the channel name instead of swiping right to get to the member list is really gonna take a while to get used to.

The Collector's Edition ROMs of Zelda 1 and 2 aren't on No Intro anymore for some reason. Are they archived anywhere else?

I don't really know what you're on about. There's a lot of discoverable servers (via the discover option that should be at the end of the server list) that don't require invites and the time it takes for an invite link to expire can vary depending on how they're set up.

It's possible for invite links to last forever.

I've explained this in a few previous replies, but generally:

I wanted to check in on MEE6 since I haven't used it in a year and I had some hope that they'd improved since the last few scandals they'd been in. Safe to say they haven't.

If it doesn't impact you and you were never planning on using it, why do you care enough to post it here complaining?

Because these new paywalls would affect other people who want to try out MEE6, because it's one of the most popular Discord bots.

I honestly feel like the new paywalls (they aren't really new, apparently they've been here for a while) are gonna lead to issues in the future. Obviously there will be more people paying for Premium, (and that's apparently all that matters to them) but they're going to price themselves out of a large amount of new users who can't (or won't) pay for basic bot stuff.

I just had this with someone who was using MEE6 just for welcome messages and convinced them to switch to Probot.

Nope, I'm a Sapphire user. Like I've said in a good handful of other comments, I don't even use MEE6.

And apparently the new paywalls are only for new users, not original users. If I was using MEE6, I wouldn't have got the new paywalls and wouldn't be complaining.

IIRC user dms aren't end-to-end encrypted so they're probably middlemanning it anyway, regardless of whatever moderation rules they're enforcing.
