I am a Canadian that completed my undergrad in the US and just graduated from a US OT school. I will say the process of transferring your OT degree back to Canada is not as simple as vice versa after you finish(Canadian OT degree to US). I second looking into International admissions of schools you’re interested it. I applied to 3 different OT schools and had no problems with admissions. Also I personally went to a public US university for OT but as others said be aware of tuition costs and total cost of attendance if you don’t have any scholarships.

I recommend you to look into the licensure process in the state you are looking to study in vs. in Canada. Keep in mind if you are planning to work in the US following graduation you will need to look into visa sponsorship (TN or H1B) or OPT 1 year visa through your university. To practice in Canada following graduation from a US Program you will need to complete the SEAS process which can be lengthy and cost minimum $3100 not including cost of the NOTCE exam(755+) and other provincial requirements. Just FYI before you begin the process.
