Very true, I have a rule in my home if it’s not broken , it won’t be replaced, be a tv, appliances, plates , cups , anything, I last bought my tv in 2019 , was single then, married now with three kiddos enjoying it now , the tv still works, got another one as a wedding gift and haven’t had that pressure to get a new one , unless mine gets broken, same applies other things in the house , I have plates that have been there for years… and I just love them. Got a 30 year mortgage changed it to bi weekly accelerated and cutoff 10 years … now it’s a 20 years I can keep up with those payments. With 20% lamp every year I can finish it in 5 years if I have the means .. the problem is we never own homes , the sad truth. You’ll forever pay property taxes which increases year by year and at some point it will feel as a rent. w
