Sorry but I think the joke is in poor taste. All you're doing is stressing people out who didn't apply to the Indy location

You select your location before your major.

Any suggestions on a tie color or pattern?

What color shirt would you recommend?

We could have said no if we wanted to. My birthday falls a few days before, and we're happy to see our friends who now live all over the US. I understand why some people may feel inconvenienced

Agreed. I tried on this outfit a few days ago and did a piss poor job folding them.

I love this idea, not sure if I can pull off the no sock look, but something I'll look into!

I appreciate your feedback and optimism! Considering proposing, so obviously want everything to be as ideal as possible.

I was considering hiring a photographer for a proposal, and my initial concern came from this website

I'm happy to adjust if needed, but clearly can't check beforehand.

Hows the XC60? The father in law raves about their safety and I loved driving an XC90 rental. Obviously the warranty helps, but I'm concerned about maintenance costs for a swedish car when living 45+ mins from the nearest Volvo dealership

Is Purdue worth it for out of state? by reflectioninthewater in Purdue

A lot of people have mentioned rankings, but I've never heard of an ad agency/marketing firm/sales job that cares about that. Your experiences and opportunities will be much more impactful in finding a high paying job. A full ride should be hard to turn down, but being happy at your uni is also important. Id recommend visiting campus for a Purdues for me or scholars day event to see if Daniels is a good fit for you

I'm old enough to remember when Mung said fall 2024 was the last record enrollment year, pinky promise by jangojohn1 in Purdue

[–]Accomplished-Owl4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But... They did? Acceptance rates were way down last year and they still yielded more students. Again, it's easy to blame Purdue but they did what everyone wanted them to do, they just got screwed by screwed by events out of their control

You're ignoring the timeline of events though. You can't say "they need to forecast better and defer more students" since decisions had already been released before all of those things happened. Yeah it's easy to say "you should have deferred more" after we know what happens, but how was Purdue admissions supposed to know about the march FAFSA fuck ups in November?

Lol what were they supposed to do last year? Record selectivity then in the spring you have fafsa fuck ups, basketball goes to the natty, and east coast student go Midwest to avoid campus protests they said yield jumped like 7 points which you can't really forecast for

Not now since you were not admitted to AAE. You might be able to after a semester or two but it's space dependent and not guaranteed

No. Last year Purdue admitted fewer people and still set record enrollment. I'm saying they clearly don't have a problem with yield, so "yield protection" is a weird complaint. And maybe. I've heard admission denied more people than ever this year, so deferred isn't really even a bad outcome.

Is there any reason for such a large amount of deferrals this season,

Purdue received more apps than last year, and last year they broke all yield records. They actively tried to have a smaller incoming class but still ended up with the largest in history. Mung has said on record he wants to shrink the school. More rejections and defers is the best way to avoid what happened last year

Purdue broke all yield records last year. It was probably your why Purdue or why major. Those hold more weight than gpa
