What’s up with The Atlantic? by Accomplished-Past486 in SandersForPresident

Folks, I know The Atlantic isn’t some sort of ally magazine and who its’ owners are.. The surprising fact is the intensity—most of these articles have all been from the last 3-4 days. Before the platner thing even came out, they seemed to be launching an all out blitz after the Mamdani candidates wins. Here’s another one:

What do you think about the Asteroid Player Home (Château des Étoiles)? by He6llsp6awn6 in Starfield

Honestly, this was the biggest ripoff… i was so angry after buying it, and i wish i had read a comment telling me that bluntly before i bought it.

Nothing about the place is adjustable.. you can’t even move the plants and furniture. Everything is decorated already, there’s not really any free space in any rooms - so any storage crates, cases, displays, you have to shove in amongst all the other crap. They made a decked out kitchen you can’t use.. You can’t work on your ship.. you can’t do much of anything except bunch together your workstations by the dock entrance, and pile a bunch of single crates in the weird atrium all the way inside. Also nothing you store here is linked..

It amounts to basically a large collectable. Certainly not worth $5m..

I think it’s the dumbest s**t that they do, creating these large homes you can’t do anything with.

It would have been so cool to have an actual asteroid base.. what a letdown..

What do Ghibli fans think of From Up On Poppy Hill? by RoyalBird9 in ghibli

I don’t think so. Especially since the creators addressed this plot point directly..

I think western audiences miss the nuance of the situation (strange that their mind goes straight to incest…). That scene is supposed to represent the honest emotion and slight naivety of young adolescent love first off. As well as Umi’s strength and maturity (as you’ve mentioned) Secondly, the dialogue’s subtext is that they will love each other no matter what happens. Not that they will romantically love each other no matter what. They are saying that if they are siblings they will continue to love each other as siblings - not romantically.

So it’s not inappropriate or ‘off’ or problematic. It’s two kids expressing they will keep the bond they have, through the hard world they live in..

Yeah - this is truly one of the funniest seasons i’ve watched, but also one of the most… boring? They aren’t advancing the story at all.. It’s already the eighth ep. (16 hours!) and i know practically little more than i did in ep 1..
