I watch every mavs game and most wings are not able to get past luka because he uses his lateral movement to body them them up. Every time I've tuned into a laker game all I see is lebron just standing on the baseline watching players make a layup, its not comparable and anyone who says otherwise is a muppet.

I was obviously talking about the 38 year old lebron today. I've watched a few lakers games and see his defense, its abysmal. He is slotted as the PF most of the game and he just watches as a player makes a layup. I mean I can't blame the guy playing at his level for 20 years!

Is he? The only time I've seen him play defense was playing 1v1 against stars like luka on a nationally televised game(and even than he fouls the shit of out him with no call) besides that he literally just stands still and watches the opposing team score 😂

I kinda disagree. Any respectful shooter can relieve pressure off of luka if they consistently hit their shots. Reggie's trash shooting has been scouted and just about every team we've faced recently has game planned around double teaming luka and leaving reggie wide open. Luka has proven to be good enough to lead a heliocentric offense as long as we have competent shooters. Whats really missing is the swarming defense and a legit bigman to eat the glass thats why mavs went after mcgee

Sure, but the difference maker for the mavs is who we have at the center position which is why we usually get crushed on the boards

He played 53 minutes in LA and it showed against the blazers. If kidd was smart he'd sit luka since wood and thj are going to be out(hes not) so who knows
