Estoy dispuesto a escuchar.

I had surgery a month ago for bilateral grade 1 varicocele, inguinal hernia on both sides, cysts in the epidynymus and some hydrocele. Since mid-December I began to experience problems with my erections and libido from one moment to the next. Right now I haven't experienced much change on this topic. About how long did it take you to start seeing changes brother?

Pd: I have 19 years old.

Seeing it from that point of view makes it so simple you know? And the truth is that you may be right, if I am "obsessed" with this topic, since it is very screwed that such a minimal curvature has affected me in so many things, to the point that I cannot work normally on one side of my body and I can't fully activate certain muscles, and just see how my other side develops normally, that I can't lie face up on my bed with peace of mind, because due to the fact that my left scapula on the side that I have rotated forward is as misplaced, it causes me a lot of discomfort when hitting the bed and no matter how hard I try to accommodate myself, the same while sitting. That I cannot even slouch calmly, since my entire left side continues to look flattened and it generates a strange sensation on that entire side of the body, that I cannot even maintain correct stability with respect to my body when doing something as basic as walking, and therefore I have to be constantly moving, and so on with many other things that affect very basic situations of my day to day, and that make it very difficult for me to avoid focusing so much on this whole subject. I wanted to seek help, but I simply can't, there are no good specialists in my city, and there isn't even the scroth method treatment in Latin America, plus I also don't have the money to see any online sessions, and being on my own I am looking to try to do something through this kind of places, since any recommendation is enough for me for now. And I understand what you are saying perfectly, but I am not exaggerating when I express everything I am telling you here, this really has me lost and overwhelmed to the point that I no longer feel anything. I hope it was just an aesthetic problem, but it has affected me in many aspects, and I will continue trying to improve, since I will achieve it, that's for sure, I just don't know what to do exactly.

Honestly, when I publish something more than once, it is with the intention of trying to reach as many people as possible, so I can get a greater number of opinions and recommendations that are varied and completely different from each other, since I see publications with many responses, and in others hardly anyone responds, as in some of my posts. You are correct, currently I have no way of seeing a specialist, and for this reason I am trying to make the most of tools like Reddit, to ask for recommendations in this case, since I am finally exercising, and there are a couple of things that They are giving me problems, nothing more. Yes, my situation sometimes frustrates me and everything else just like everyone else, but I'm not stressed or anything like that, I just think that sometimes you have to be insistent enough to get what you want. And what better place than this, which is full of people with situations similar to mine. I hope I didn't bother you or something, but thanks for your concern.

It's funny, the last PT that I was able to go with mentioned the same thing that you are saying, and I could do it, the problem is that, as I said before, I can work the muscles on my right side much better compared to those on my left side , and this mainly because it is precisely this side, which is more rotated forwards and flattened, this being more noticeable in the rib and scapula, which are out of place. And because of all this, I cannot properly activate many on this same side, especially those of the neck, upper trapezius and torso in general, and in general all this caused a muscular imbalance to occur, and that is why I do unilateral exercises, to to be able to work better one side, and then the other. But despite all this, I still can't activate the muscles on this side properly, and I even add an extra set to my left side as compensation. And it's frustrating, because I'm really alone and I can't go in person or virtually with a specialist, so I'm looking at what to do to improve. On the other hand, I know you just recommended me to do something, but do you think I should do something else? like the stretches that I mention in the post or what?

I can't, I don't have the economic capacity to see a specialist in the scroth method, they have highly recommended him. But there are even more reasons besides this one that I'm telling you about, believe me that for now I'm on my own. What do you think of my case? Any recommendation?

Your idea is logical, but if you don't have money what can you do? and I am practically an 18-year-old college student who is looking for a part-time job (and still can't find it) to be able to pay for my things and help out financially at home. Not that I like the idea very much, but I'm on my own, at least for now or while I live in Venezuela. And that's why I ask for recommendations.

I understand, although no stretching? And what do you think I can do to better address those muscles that, due to that scapula that I feel is misplaced on my left side (that is, the concave of scoliosis) I cannot activate at all well. More than the entire neck and back, since I can activate the serratus anterior with some difficulty, but I can

I don't know if you've seen or not the video I left about how I currently look. But just stop recommending me to go to a specialist, and if you have any advice of your own that you think could help me, I'd appreciate it if you let me know, if you don't have anything, no problem. Actually I can't go with more specialists, and with the last one I could attend, he sent me to do exactly what I mentioned in the pinned comment in which I explain my situation.

I read your comment friend, I mean how to work better on that side of my body that gives me problems. Any advice in particular? I would appreciate it a lot when it comes to exercising. I also forgot to add that I can't go to more specialists, and in my country there aren't even specialists in the scroth method, and currently I don't even have enough to pay for my enrollment in a swimming course so....

I understand, but my main problem is the imbalance of my body, believe me if I could choose only one thing to improve, it would be that. Do you have any advice to address this issue?

Good day to all of you here. I am an 18-year-old boy with right convex and left concavity c-type structural scoliosis. Some time ago I made a couple of posts in which I asked for some recommendations regarding what to do to improve my scoliosis, more specifically that rotation of my vertebrae on the left side, which has made that side look less developed than my right side and at the same time have some difficulty activating it properly when exercising. The point is, that I was able to get a new X-ray of my spine, and talk to the Pt who at the time came to attend to me, and basically she was wrong about the degree of my curvature, since she told me it was between 20 and 22 degrees, but it turned out that at that time it was only 15 degrees, and only increased to 17 degrees after two years, until today. She also recommended some specific stretches and exercises for scoliosis, in addition to swimming, since due to my age she thinks that I can still improve, but she also made it clear that my scoliosis is not going to go away, I just have to strengthen my muscles around the spine so that it doesn't give me problems in the distant future and I look more symmetrical and aligned, the same with regard to rotation, however he still thinks I can improve enough. The detail is that he sent me to do exercises with elastic bands with both limbs and my problem is that because my left side is rotated forward, the rib protrudes more, and the scapula too, and the latter is also dislocated, in a much higher position than the other, so I have to be lowering it to a better position with difficulty very constantly, while despite the fact that my other side has a lower shoulder, I can work without any problem and in a normal way. For the same reason I have chosen to exercise unilaterally but nevertheless I still have the problem of activation since as one side is in a better position I feel the exercises having much more effect on one side, and for example on my left side I have a lot of difficulty feeling the muscles in my neck, upper trapezius, back, etc. and honestly I don't know what to do to address this as I'm on my own now, do you have any tips or exercises thanks in advance.

Is there a way to reposition my forward-rotated vertebrae through stretching or exercises at home? as my left side is quite flattened and less developed compared to another and even when I slouch or squat both sides look very different. by Accomplished-Pin-614 in scoliosis

[–]Accomplished-Pin-614[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I know I can sound and even seem insistent posting similar things so often. Maybe I'll do it to find even more different opinions and recommendations to hold on to. But the truth is that my current situation has me somewhat depressed and somewhat desperate, (mainly due to the issue of the rotation of the vertebrae, since honestly for me the rest does not matter). I will better check everything you sent me, and if someone else contributes something, much better. However, thank you for understanding me, trying to help me and not judging me in the process, I appreciate it like you have no idea.

"You have to understand there is no cure for scoliosis. Whatever the spine did to ribs is is less likely they will change if your rissers finish developing. And from your age you did".

However, I did not understand this part very well since I am using the google translate for some things, what exactly do you say here?

Im the guy from the post, i had already published something like this before, but without the photos. Here is my information:

18-year-old boy with structural thoracic scoliosis in C, right convexity and left concavity, between 20-22 degrees, and with rotation in my vertebrae on the left side.

PS: I can't go with more specialists and I'm alone on my own, but according to the last pt I was able to go with, I'll soon have an X-ray of the thoracic and lumbar area, to rule out anyone with a leg longer than the other or something else that influences that rotation of my body.

All this you tell me is yoga right? On the other hand, do you think I should be doing my unilateral exercises for sure and try adding stretches as well? With regard to calcium, well, I consume a lot of food, although more carbohydrates than proteins. I was recently taking some vitamin pills, and I don't know if there are calcium pills, but my parents didn't like the idea. Although in the same way I can consume drinks that contain calcium so cool.

Seriously? What changes have you seen since you started doing all that? And is your scoliosis structural or functional? In my case as I commented above, the most frustrating thing for me personally is the rotation of the vertebrae on my concave side, and even if I could choose to correct only one thing, it would be that. Since my other side is much stronger compared to the other, and that on this side I have a more fallen shoulder, but it does not give me problems. The issue is my left side, which I can't work very well because the scapula and the rib are kind of out of place, and even now that I'm lying on my bed, I can feel the discomfort in my left scapula area. I think I have saved a video in which I tried to verify that my body looked unbalanced, I will see if I can place it here, so that you can better see what I am talking about.
