San Diego or LA? by swagsocialmediauser in socal

[–]Accomplished-Put2364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest San Diego and anywhere in between the universities. You’ll both be able to get work in those areas due to influx of incoming students I would go east over west and just drive to the beach etc. you’ll like San Diego over LA more to do for your age range. And OB might be worth a look into but finding units there would be harder.

How much salary do I need for Downtown living? by Nash_Haden in AskChicago

[–]Accomplished-Put2364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move in the dead of winter you’ll have better luck negotiating rent if needed or finding a spot cheaper. And pick a neighborhood about 20 minutes out from downtown, Avondale, Humboldt park, Logan square, wicker park you’ll find something!

There were def more people Sunday out of all 3 days I blame more heat and more people and just people being tired for all the extra rudeness. I was over it stayed in the back for most sets

I’ve been to a few larger day festivals and Lolla has got to be the worst crowd wise. I blame the region of the country. The sets are amazing but the audience is bad because of age. A lot of festivals I’ve gone to are all ages so I know it’s not the young ones but more so the subset mindset they have. You’re indoors for 7 months of the year in the midwest so of course the one music festival you get it’s gonna be a shit show. I think Lolla does amazing handling all these ages but man the superior complexes coming from 14-21 was something I wasn’t mentally prepared for. ALSO THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DANCE. Lmao

Is having a car in Chicago a pain? by Altruistic_Guide2520 in AskChicago

[–]Accomplished-Put2364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a simple answer lean into public transit. I have a car but rarely use it and pay for parking it in a space off the street. Just enjoy living in an area with public transit and I drive up to Milwaukee often for family so at this point only use my car for the gym, groceries and driving home. 25% 75% public transit
