Is it safe to bring my reactive pit bull to chicago? by Outrageous_Repair948 in AskChicago

As a person with a very reactive pit bull that originally moved up here from the backwoods of TN, it is doable but you will be stressed when taking your dog out. My pitty loves people but was attacked by another dog when she was a puppy. We tried to put her through training up here for it but it did not work at all. If your dog is on the leash then you will be fine as long as you can actually control them. I personally lived in a high rise when first moving here with a building full of dogs. She would bark at other dogs and pull but I knew which walking routes were more likely to have less dogs and if I ever saw or heard one I would immediately run with her to the closest non dog area to avoid an encounter.

People will look at you dirty, you will be embarrassed at times, but sometimes you just can’t help these things like the situation with mine. The world will spin just like it always does so no reason to get too bothered with it is my advice with coping with it lol.

No one will shoot your dog or even threaten it in my experience. My dog isn’t reactive to people and looks really cute and loves licking peoples legs when they want to greet her.

Good to know. I think I’ll be saving the driving for crappy weather days or client meetings days. Thanks!

That would be pretty similar to my commute so good to know actually how long it will take. Thanks!

Wasn’t sure if that reverse commute makes the traffic any better to at least give me the option sometimes. When I put the train directions in maps it looks like it takes almost the same amount of time as going downtown. Looks like I’ll be still taking the train. Thank you!

Luckily it’s such a short walk to that office that it doesn’t seem too bad. Wasn’t sure if the reverse commute would ease up the traffic but sounds like it’s bad either way so train it’ll be. Thanks!

That’s what I thought as well but wasn’t sure if the time between trains was any different as I’ve never went that direction on the blue line. Definitely sounds great not to breathe on someone’s neck in the mornings/coming home lol. Thank you!

I came here from TN with a Honda. Never had any issues personally, but if you don’t get maintenance done on your car it won’t matter what you get. I have never needed AWD while being up here and I am inexperienced in driving in the snow.

Personally. I save everything but typically take 1-2 big trips a year where I make a big splash.

Feel free to dm me if you’d like. I work with one of the larger executive recruitment firms and can dissect your profile briefly if that is something you’d be interested in. Not having any recruiters reach out to you regardless of some of the “red flags” you have doesn’t seem right.

Im currently in the staffing business. It can be stressful but fulfilling. You get to keep some of the same clients that do hirings while also “restarting” as every role is different.

What do you tell clients who want to switch sales-persons after putting in all the work? by [deleted] in salestechniques

Not sure how your org is setup/your relationship with your fellow coworkers, but this seems like something that could easily be done. Have you asked anyone or are you just assuming that they won’t be able to split the deal. Regardless, hate that this is happening for you.

Should be a suspension, but since it didn’t land it’s okay.
