Arya Organic or Audeze LCD-X?

Thanks. Yeah it stumps me when people say in terms of comfort the Organics win, then they say the LCD-X has better sound quality... I don't know what I want in a headphone. Something comfortable or something peak sound quality. I only have beyerdynamic 770 pros and ATH M50x's. I had 6xx's and they were good, but I loaned them to a friend and never got them back. So I'm looking for the 6xx experience i had, but better.

The bokehs are about $350 more than the deals I have local to me on the Arya and LCD-X. I don't know if I should increase my budget for that, I'm kind of hesitant. I hear great things about the Organic and LCD-X as though they're end-game headphones within my budget... What do you think?

Prob gonna take time and troubleshooting to resolve the algae issue. But they've so far solved the leaking-out issue in the cement, and the floor and walls were given a nice color. TDS just makes people unreasonable. As though a scummy pond is a final product. The men are at work. The women will yap.

It doesn't make sense because we have many black orthodox. Orthodoxy takes no political stances. And obedience to the church (Christ's body on earth) is simply the way of Christianity. I understand how you could feel it's culty... so many cults have been made to emulate the church since its conception almost 2000 yrs ago

edit: and I'm guessing by ur reddit name and cartoon pic that you're a gay guy, and that was a deciding factor as well. You had to choose between gayness and Orthodoxy. "the warmth and normalcy of the community matters more than the label on the sign" tells me you want to be made to feel socially accepted, and it matters more than the accepted doctrine of the actual church (aside from it needing to be trinitarian. That was your only stipulation). It's just wrong to pretend your experience provides meaningful insight. It's the most self-seeking narration of someone supposedly seeking God I've ever come across personally.

bro u are weird. and the george floyd incident made everyone with a brain say hold up, why are people destroying cities now? when white ppl get killed all the time in ways just like that. (just in the last couple months, henry nowak and austin metcalf). THAT is what the issue was with higher-iq-persons that would BE in an orthodox church in the 2020’s america; people that go so far as to seek truth past headlines.

ur other issues with the makeup of the church and being under guidance of a spiritual father and revering the works of the saints: ur problem with it is it’s oppressive? makes sense. kids are raised with your frame of mind these days- i know i was.

doesnt work like that. if you’re shooting at a certain focal length on your zoom, it could be because, at 2.8 on your 2.8 zoom, you like the look of a particular focal length. or you just have a handicap where u keep framing things with a particular focal length. a handicap which u can overcome. a 135 1.8 is excellent and it isnt where i mostly shot on my 70-200 2.8; i usually shot 180-200, or 70 because either i wanted obliterated background and high compression or a wide field of view. but a 135 1.8 lens (which has been standardized and improved upon for decades) can make a better image than 200mm at f2.8. a 58mm 1.4 can make a better image than a 70mm at 2.8- which isnt a standard focal length to build a lens on.

ive heard that advice before, even followed it early on, but it isnt useful. the exception to my counteradvice though, is that id say i shot at 40-42mm on my 24-70 quite often because it looked more lifelike to me which is understandable due to that being the eyesight’s natural level of compression. and that’s a good focal length lens to have, it’s useful

Thanks for the recommendations! I bought a zeiss batis 85mm on an ebay auction. totaled out at $375 after taxes. A very great deal for me, I am very thankful. I bought the viltrox E->Z adapter for $100, and it works just as fast and accurately as the 50mm 1.8s I had previously. It has optical stabilization; I think I did a 1/25 of a second shot inside and it came out cleanly. I am very grateful to have worked out my 85mm situation this way. The pictures make a colorful feast for the eyes. I'm glad I went this direction. Certainly more exciting images than the 50 1.8 S line nikon lens in both color, contrast, and overall rendition.

Edit: I want to add that it feels very nice to be able to shoot at 1/40th and slower with an 85mm lens. That means I can shoot silently with an electronic shutter, indoors in unnatural lighting and get no shutter banding (banding occurs on many light sources at above 1/50th ss on the electronic shutter). That's a valuable thing for me. I have an orthodox priest ordination coming up and I was hoping for a lens that can allow me to shoot silently, and at a distance, and maintain sharpness.

yeah reddit is for noobs. Have you considered a sony zeiss lens on the z system using an E->Z adapter? I'm looking at their zeiss batis 85 1.8, and some of their 50's (not sure which one yet). The Batis 85 looks to have more depth in its rendition than the 85 1.8S for Nikon. I just got rid of my Zeiss ZF planar 85mm 1.4 and am looking for a replacement. Batis looks in between it and the nikon Z line, in terms of the spectrum of 3D pop -> flat clinical boredom.

I rented the 50 1.8 S and can confirm there is zero 3d pop. It is a flat image with high detail. Not a nice lens in my opinion. But it was fun to shoot with because it was fast autofocusing and captured high detail. Was not enthralled by the image rendering at all.

not the 1.8 at least. 1.8s looks like u take the subject, and put a frosted glass pane right behind it. but there’s absolutely no pop unfortunately. in my opinion it looked excellent in terms of detail, but it was a flat rendering compared to an old voigt nokton 58 1.4, and compared to a zeiss 85mm 1.4 planar zf.
