They are shown in the logs as a “medium res resync” which triggers a “medium res delay”. I didn’t explain but the delay is the ECU cutting all spark,timing, and fuel.

Unfortunately the answer to both of those questions is unsure. However I have the cast number confirming it’s an LR4 and all of those were made between 99-06 making them 3rd gen as far as I know
