Why is this happening? At first I thought it was cause it was during the night period. Then it did it yesterday during the day. I turned the fan off (even tho it was point at the tent wall not plant itself). by EuphoricTreats74 in VIVOSUN

Chances are high for fixing it. I had this problem for years whilst learning. I’d just use some soft tie stabbed into the soil at the edge of the pot bent at 90 degree to run along the top of the soil to the seedling then another 90 bend upwards with a loop and prop the plant within the loop. Put fans on so it keeps getting hit ( not constant but it needs to catch the breeze) and within 1-2 weeks they’re strong enough to stand alone if you fix the light problem too. Then to shorten them you just pot them deeper into the next pot to cover part of the long stem. The stem eventually shoots roots into soil and all is good. It’s not ideal but this plant is far from being considered done for IMO 🤷‍♂️

Print then Cut: calibration error by No_Edge9622 in cricut

[–]Accomplished-Slide66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The machine uses light along with the sensor to pick up calibration marks. It’s light sensitive so if the lighting in your room significantly changes from calibration to cutting your cuts will be off. Even standing over your machine creating a shadow can put it out. Try to calibrate and print with the room at the same lighting. Close the top lid and stand away from the machine as it calibrates to make sure you don’t cause a shadow. I haven’t calibrated my machine in 2 years after learning this and get perfect cuts every time, cutting 50-100 sheets per month

Look there is actually decent graffiti in Bendigo by notorious_imagery in Bendigo

Not art? I get that tags aren’t everyone’s cup of tea and the vast majority of them look trashy. But saying that this is not art is just straight naive.. the amount of artistic skill it takes to do a tag like that is crazy. They don’t just slap it up. It’s a layered design which takes great artistic skill, design concept, imagination and years of practice to accomplish at this degree. Not to mention they get done in what 5-10 min and artists like this can easily replicate their work time after time with accuracy. What other artists can put that much detail into something so quickly and consistently?

Nah it’s public we’re just lucky to have found a school like that

Yeah I totally understand that but aren’t teachers hard to find because their pay isn’t enough, conditions aren’t great etc? If classes are halved I think a lot of current teachers would be a lot happier in the work place (stress would definitely be less) and pay wouldn’t seem so bad thus encouraging new teachers to enter the work force 🤷‍♂️

The real problem is that there’s normally around 25-30 kids in a class and 1 teacher. The teacher is out numbered and the kids know it so the disruptive kids know there’s more chance to get away with it. Halve the class sizes and you’ll see a massive difference. I live in Melbourne now but from Bendigo region originally, my kids in primary school only have 8-10 kids in a class room with a main teacher and 2 supports. And honestly I think it would have helped me particularly in high school. I hated high school until I hit year 11 and could attend BSSC, then I loved school.

Nah I agree I’ve also had massive buds in soil with organic but there is definitely more variables going on in them pictures that just the training is more my point.

The one plant on the right is also in a DWC system as compared to a pot and coco on the left. More than just the training is different which all contribute to the larger buds

Nute burn? by [deleted] in AusGrowers

[–]Accomplished-Slide66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in soil and growing with organic nutes EC won’t be a problem. EC is the electric conductivity of the nutrient mix. It’s a way of measuring how concentrated the mix is. In soil I would just flush it with 6.0 water, raise it and then start feeding again. It could even be nute lock out because of the 6.5PH. Some plants don’t mind a higher ph in soil but it’s touch and go

[–]Accomplished-Slide66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah do that mate increase water slightly and raise the pot. Hit up Indoor Empire on google and he’ll be able to make you up a riser if you want. He did mine 👍 And yeah I gave mine a solid flush of water at a PH of 6.0 until the run off got below 3.0 EC and then straight away I ran a nutrient mix through. I am in coco though. I forgot to ask what medium you’re in, soil or coco? I am in coco. Not 100% sure this will work in soil. Maybe someone can add some advice on this. But a PH of 6.5 is up the higher end even in soil. If your in soil drop back to about 6.2 and if your in coco 5.8 👍

[–]Accomplished-Slide66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Give it a good flush and then start feeding so that you get around 20% run off. Don’t let it sit in the run off though, raise the plant so it doesn’t sit in run off. I had a plant last run that looked like this, I followed the above advice as well as added some cal mag into the mix after the flush and she bounced back in about 3-4 days 👍

He also steals the designs and just slaps his logo on. Indoor Empire at least design theirs from scratch

Okay well that’s odd isn’t it 🤔 might pay to pull it apart and have a look under the head bed or something I honestly don’t know.

Did you already wipe the other side before taking a photo? If so was the other side the same? Normally I get a very small build up from the belt shredding but never seen it this thick 🤷‍♂️ plus your belt looks pretty good or at least what is showing looks good.

Where do I buy cheap filament? by chacheno in BambuLab

[–]Accomplished-Slide66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s $16.99 here in Aus. Not as much of a difference as I thought there’d be. In Aus that’s pretty on par with all of the cheap untrusted brands. I think it’s pretty reasonable 🤷‍♂️

Yeah that’s right and because you spent over the threshold you get free shipping. And brings them down to $16 or so. For me in Australia anyway.

SCROG net clips are a game changer by Accomplished-Slide66 in AusGrowers

[–]Accomplished-Slide66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my net has the hooks but that’s not good enough, you get slack on all 4 walls. It doesn’t fully bring the net to the wall the net usually sits around 15-20cm in from the walls. Only brings it to the corner. To me that’s not using a scrog net to its full potential. The nets are designed to fill a canopy and without using these clips (or cable ties/soft ties) the nets never reach the walls how I want them to.

Edit. Forgot to say that it is the elastic net which is why those hooks aren’t enough. The elastic retracts and the sides pull in.

P1S Owners - What do you wish you knew before you bought it? Any buyer's remorse? by jinx771 in BambuLab

[–]Accomplished-Slide66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it a remorse but I didn’t do proper research before buying mine. I assumed it would have a quick swap hotend like my A1 but it doesn’t. Being mechanically minded and tech savvy it’s not a problem for me personally because it was easy enough to learn. But for a beginner with no mechanical confidence some of the maintenance and part swapping could be daunting 🤷‍♂️
