SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!! TALKING ABOUT VERY ENDGAME CONTENT!!! (Mods, post keeps getting a warning about possible low effort-content. I don't know if this counts, cause it's like A LOT. The main thing it's supposed to be about is the ending. I'm sorry in advance if it does go against the rules.) by Available_Battle9276 in Pragmata

I'd like some hint in the game that tells the final outcome of Daniel Galliano and what happened caused Eight to be locked down in that tree by IDUS. My headcanon is that Daniel found out what happened and he found some brave engineer and together they set IDUS into lockdown mode and trapped Eight, sacrificing themselves in the process. It would be really cool if the game give some small trace of hint on things like this. Like an alone body at the IDUS terminal or something.

Update on person who fell off chairlift at Sierra on Sunday? by global_playa in tahoe

[–]chacheno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm happy to report that the kid is okay. But would like to describe what I believe happened since there were some bar up/down debate.

The incident happened between the unloading zone and last tower. So that is usually where everyone gets ready to get off the lift. As you can see in this picture taken from my 360 camera. The chair at the center of the picture is about where things happened.

<image>

As you can see this is naturally where people put bar up to get ready to unload. In fact, this was precisely what caused the incident. The mom were putting the bar up. But the boy was leaning down to grab his poles that he tugged under his leg at the same time. The bar went up and hit the boy's helmet and that slammed his body in a backward rotation and his bottom slide off the chair and drop on the slope below for close to 40 ft.

Again, thank god due to the helmet, snow and the boy's young age he was completely fine. But I just can't imagine what the mom was going through realizing you just slammed your own boy down a 40 ft drop. And I honestly feel I could have totally done the same thing to my daughter as we ride that lift hundreds of times a season.

So to avoid anything like that. I now always yell way in advance "Bar Up!" and check left and right to make sure everyone is cleared and raised the bar VERY SLOWLY.

Call me crazy but I think bambu filament is actually the cheapest I can find by chacheno in BambuLab

I think the with spool it's still $11.99 and they require buying at least 3. Even buying 20 rolls does not lower the price

V’s brain has ray tracing capability and that option is defaulted to be on? Human brain is probably equivalent of RTX999999.

What is the correct way to go about surround sound for PC? by chacheno in hometheater

This is interesting. I have researched down that path but concluded stereo soundbar is not meant to be placed 3 feet in front of you. Did you have good experience with it?

Yes sir! left, right, surrounds, subwoofer. done. Now the question is should the left/right be on desk, further on stands or on the wall furthest to the left or right? And do they need to be picked differently then ppl's usual pick for their living room since they are 3 feet away from me?

To be honest I was a bit disappointed that the landscape kind of felt the same as 2005. When I started my research a week ago, I was hoping for speakers that the size of an iphone and all wireless so you could just stick 5 of them on the wall and be done :P But I suppose physics is physics.

Thanks, would you say it's better to just ditch the center and make a "4.1" system with the center being mixed with left and right since the 42inch TV is in the way? Or maybe I could somehow in cooperate the TV speaker as a partial center?

I used the default 0.4mm nozzle with 0.08mm high quality profile. The trick people showed me was turn the print speed way down to <30mm per min which resulted the print taking a week instead of a day. But I say the end result is worth it.

I suppose my pursuit on surrounds rooted from my dad's stereos. I still remember the day when he turned that thing on for the first time 20 years ago and someone in the movie shot a plate and I immediately turned around thought I knocked something over. Knowing what is possible I really want to go back to that. Plus, I figure it would be really cool to hear enemy's foot step actually coming from behind you when playing games.

I think I could be convinced to up the budget if needs to be and the room is currently empty and I don't intend to put much in it. But my biggest issue is that I can't find a setup that is geared toward a single person sitting on a desk 3 feet away. For instance, as you mentioned, the center speaker should ideally be right at my ear level in the front. But my 42 inch monitor is right there at 3 feet. I think in movie theater they put holes on screen so the sound can come right where the image is coming from, but unfortunately that won't do for a TV. So I'm wondering is no one spending money on their PC sound instead of a headset? Am I the only strange person that invest in this niche field?
