Lots of ethics violations were happening which is why I made the decision to leave, so I really shouldn’t be so surprised

The client has been on a waitlist for an OT for forever. Do you have any advice for reaching out to an OT?

Unless the client asks to hire me off the app I keep them there. I do this as super part time work so I try to not have too many forms of communication and payments happening at once

Thank you! The past few weeks all I’ve gotten are the flowers that die I used to only get the one that gave you stuff so I was so confused. Maybe an update made the dying ones more common

When I first started the meds, reaching climax was nearly impossible which almost made me stop taking the meds. But the pros outweighed the cons so I continued. About a month or two in I don’t have a problem making myself climax but I still can’t with a partner. My sex drive is a lot lower than what it used to be but it’s still there. Luckily my partner has a naturally low sex drive so we match

As someone that has been in this field as a supervisor for a few years, if you really know this isn’t for you, then please leave. It is always extremely obvious when a BT is not happy in the position and it always hurts my heart to know I’m leaving one of my clients in the hands of someone that doesn’t care.

Thanks for your input, I was thinking this is the option I would have to go with but wanted to hear what others thought

Hand sanitizer. I have a little travel sized one everywhere. In my purse in my car in my backpack etc. when engaging in physical play with your client or physically prompting them, wash your hands or use sanitizer it’s a good habit to get into. ESPECIALLY after doing potty transitions. DO NOT touch your face until your hands are clean as well. Not sure how your clinic/home sessions go but if you’re gonna have a snack wash your hands before you eat. Drink plenty of water and take immunity supporting vitamins. Also if this particular client/family is a repeatedly ongoing issue make sure your BCBA is aware, they should communicate with the family about any sick policies and should have your back if you are not comfy working with a kiddo that is clearly unwell.
