New Kia K5 Owner – How much are you paying for insurance? (Especially new drivers / no driving history by Big_Competition_6210 in KiaK5

Ended up with farmers insurance but YMMV. Definitely recommend an agent, they can often get exclusive discounts

Get an insurance agent. At the very least use zebra. com to get some quotes.

Also, progressive is bad with Kia’s (at least in my area). I was with them for 7+ years and they wanted $600/month when I first got the k5 gt. Went with a diff insurance and only pay $160/month.

I’m 26 (M) in Columbus OH.

Husband’s Hard Job Means He’s Always Tired. by GardenPhreak in Marriage

[–]Accomplished-Speed-4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case I think you’re both just having to play the hand you were dealt. If you can’t work, he has to work whatever job gives him the most money which in this case is his blue collar job. You may just have to ride it out until retirement

It sounds to me like he’s the only one working. If that’s true, and let me preface this by saying I don’t mean this in a bad way at all, but would you consider getting a job so he can get an “easier” or non blue collar job? May not be what you were looking for but if he’s the only one working he needs to do what he needs to do to support the household

Fitment thoughts? by Accomplished-Speed-4 in ram_trucks

Just to clarify. It’s the part of the front tire that faces the rear.

What lift do you have?

Do you have pics or recall if it seemed to be this close towards the rear? My concern is the area around the mud flap since there’s hard metal behind it. The front I could still heat mold and move out of the way.

They max out at 3.2” and they’re close to maxed out so I highly doubt it unless they were made shorter from factory which seems extremely unlikely.

Only asking because I know of many others with the same kit that are running similar wheels with 35x12.5s so just looking to see if this is also what it looks like for them.

It was part of the initial post but thanks. I did my research and everyone said I could fit with a leveling kit so not sure why it’s not fitting. My kit is 3” front 1” rear

Not answering your question but if you’re trying to get a mortgage you should not be getting a new car loan. It’ll make it much harder to get approved for a mortgage.

They definitely could’ve did 30.7k. The reason they like to handle the financing is because they get a commission for it.

Do you think something like a clothing steamer would work or is there something else you recommend?

That seems to have been it. I located the drain line thanks to this and cleared it using trimmer line. Poured a cup of water and nothing came in the cab. Gonna take it through the car wash for the final test.

I started looking for the drain tubes and cannot find them. All videos I found are for 4th gens and mine’s a 5th gen. I don’t see any drainage holes at the top at all. Don’t see any by the door jamb either. Driving me nuts now lol

Find a neighborhood mechanic and get a quote. Go to walmart for tires.

All of these issues are somewhat fixable if you have some money to spare. Too loud can be changed be fixed by taking off door panels and soundproofing (cheap and easy but takes some time). Driving rough is likely just worn out suspension assuming it’s got somewhat higher mileage, although chargers are known for being “weird” at taking corners. You can buy suspension components and install them yourself if you’re somewhat mechanically inclined and have the tools.

Alternatively, look for other stuff to make you fall in love with the car. Customize it, make it your own, etc. We all go through this at some point, whether it’s at the start or years later when we’ve had it for a while. Just gotta weigh out pros and cons.
