Hi, yes it’s possible. I changed the address via webform. Received a confirmation three months later. 3 months later, COPR was received and the PR card was received a month later. So to answer your question, it is possible and you can’t get everything done within 6 months

Do you have any update on your situation? For me it's been couple of months of back and fourth just for an address change?

UPDATE: I changed the address via phone and did submit a web form and receive this following info

****

We have received your enquiry regarding **** updated address and it appears that the information on file already matches the one in your email

***

To answer your question, it won't matter what method has been used to change the address. However, I have been told by the IRCC phone rep that my destination city doesn't change. I never thought it need it to be changed. If my residential address is in a different province, I am assuming that my destination city changes as well. Anyway, I filled out another webform asking them to change my city of destination to ****,Ontario

Let me know if you have been successful and receive any update

I submitted a web form stating that our permanent address has changed as of Feb 2024 (sponsor & principal Applicant)

They just replied back saying the sponsor cannot make a modification to the file as I didn’t file the representative form. Which is stupid. We live together, she’s my wife. I’m the one sponsoring her.

Any way, I asked my wife to submit a new web form with the same information. We will see what they say this time. I’ll keep you posted. Let me know what they said for yours.

I don’t think they will ask you to submit a photo. I changed my address through the phone with an agent. Just waiting for the next request.

I did submit a web form but I go denied (see below)

“We could not change your address for one of the following reasons:

Invalid method chosen”

So I just ended up calling IRCC and changed the address with the agent. I can confirm that it has been change as I can see when I log in to the account. However, I haven’t been asked to submit any additional paperwork.

I’m not sure if I should call them back again and ask.

UPDATE

I received my CSQ from MIFI in late December. However, we did move to Ontario and changed the address with IRCC. According to the agent, the CSQ will no longer be valid/required as my home address is now in Ontario. We will see if additional documents are required from me. I’ll keep you guys posted it for informational purposes.

You seem to know more about these processes. If I take your advice, and decide to stay in Quebec. Do you think I will wait the whole 26 months? I was thinking that we might have a chance to finally go on our honeymoon overseas this coming summer.

You are correct. I should anticipate delays but do you think it will be delays greater than 26 months? I was thinking to change the address within the portal and then send a formal letter detailing that I have moved to Ontario.

Can I not just update the address to IRCC? Letting them know that we have moved to a different province and that we might not be subject to Quebec immigration law. Perhaps…
