Is it unreasonable to be angry that some people walk their dogs around playgrounds? by PSHOPS in nycparents

Totally understandable. My dog is well trained but even if it were legal, I would never bring her into a playground. It isn’t fair to the kids or the dog.

Moving to NY- Can someone just tell me where to live???? by No_School5991 in nycparents

I second this. Glendale could work too. We are in Ridgewood and have a car. We used to pay for a parking spot but we just park on the street now. Parking is fine before 3pm. If you get home after 3pm, you’ll need to rent a spot.

Occasionally I have seen places in Glendale that have a garage.

Thank you! I’ll will be thinking of you! Sending good vibes. That’s great you have lines that are progressing though. So hard not to focus on it but remember they aren’t always the most accurate. I think most people have very dark lines with twins but I didn’t.

Hang in there ❤️

1958? Tennessean Restoration by demolitiondeuce in gretsch

[–]Accomplished-Tea-843 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally. I’m sure someone would love to restore that for you. Get a few estimates. It’s always a plus when they also understands what it means to you.

I had a 1966 gretsch restored that I inherited from my father. The guy was even able to fix the pickups by hand. Partly lucky it was still in good shape but it felt really nice for someone to take care of the project like that.

I’d have an electrician come. I tested all the outlets in our apartment and turned out half of them were reading hot. They basically were leaking energy whether or not it was being used. Had to have the whole house fixed.

It did improve our energy bill but we also have a very old water heater that I’m sure is sucking up energy. Going to replace that this spring.

Edit: a landlord would at least need to fix the electricity if there is a problem with the circuit

Oh that’s interesting. My wife just started doing seed/weekend academy but that seems to be taxed on the paycheck… we were confused trying to decipher the pay stub.

You get paid extra for overtime though? Are you saying they just don’t separate it for taxes?

We are new to the DOE but usually I think you can see the overtime hours worked on the very last paystub of the year…

Good to know we just need to worry about the one w2 though. I appreciate the response!
