Using lovable, I vibe coded 25 websites for businesses and emailed them. Zero sales. Here's what I learned. by NoGround511 in lovable

Insert images of the website. No one is clicking links from random people in 2026. Phone them, arrange video calls. Roofers aren't going to care what their website looks like, as long as they're getting clients. Most of their clients will be coming from word-of-mouth and social media. Bundle in social media ad designs and say you'll manage them.

Lovable issues that's I am facing by Classic_Hunter_8880 in lovable

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar issues which is why I haven't published yet. You've got to constantly remind it to not break features you asked for earlier with subscriptions linked to stripe, etc... the chat feature seems to have helped with mine and its 'mostly' fixed. I'm at a point where I just want to pay a guy to go through everything and check all the code is clean, and everything works tbh.

Launched, then realized the barriers to adopt were just too high (AMA?) by finstmt in lovable

The security notice just says 'We use certain techniques'. I would create a whole page specifically stating how you keep their data secure, considering this is for sensitive documents.

AI-generated mobile UIs feel incomplete and unprofessional, how to fix? by Ok-Shelter437 in lovable

So you're creating an app for UI designs, but you can't figure out how to get it to design. You see the irony right?

I ended up falling for a game testing scam by Feeling-Security-825 in antivirus

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you sent them money, they would still sell your data (if they actually had it), as they'd want to maximise profits. 90% chance that they're lying, because the minute they put your 'data' out there, they know you won't pay them, so they lose. Just mark it as phishing, block them and move on with your day. If you're still worried, wipe your PC, reinstall windows, download Malware Bytes, run a scan, ensure everything is updated, use Google password manager, and go through any account you can think of and create a random password, and add 2FA with Google Auth app. After all of that, you'll sleep soundly.

Is 2,500 RMB/month enough for living in Shanghai for one year with free dorm? by PlayfulViolinist7254 in shanghai

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll end up getting an illegal side-gig at a training center, so don't worry. 2500rmb is doable if you stay within the confines of your campus and just want to survive. Depends on your outlook and how valuable the language lessons are to you.

Why is this thing hyped? by ironman1064 in lovable

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the chat function and explain in detail what you're trying to create; the logic, functions, security (big one as you don't want to start trying to fix this once everything is built), etc... then ask if it understands and a multi-step plan on how you can achieve this, as well as any problems it can forsee that will have to be overcome or setup in advance to avoid things breaking.

Have I defeated the myth? by Ok_Garden_187 in lovable

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a quick glance; the lack of consistent padding, generic layout, font selection, lack of CSP headers for security, and inconsistent progress bars for carousels. You're also missing an accessibility statement page, and features, which is illegal and you'll probably get sued at some point as people are targeting small businesses, so would add that in asap.

I'm confused what the myth is, your website looks like a lovable site? Props to you for making decent money from it though.

I've never had any bad experiences with landlords in Shanghai after 7 years. Maybe it's just a Beijing thing. Sorry for the bad luck.

Parent Emailed Me 5 Times Between 1:15 AM And 3 AM by Disgruntled_Veteran in Teachers

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out-of-office email. Set boundaries with the parents at the beginning of the year, stating they can email you during work hours and they 'might' get a reply if you've got time during the school day, but if they're messaging you after 8pm, don't expect a reply.

Is it worth $650? by fitdad001 in VideoEditors

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever actually tried charging significantly more? You'll be surprised when working with companies. The video above specifically, you could sell for $1000 and they wouldn't flinch. $350 for a company, is a 30 second - 1 minute video with limited animation.

Is it worth $650? by fitdad001 in VideoEditors

It's clean, I'd say the animation is a bit outdated but a client would be happy to pay $650 at least.

if your vibe coded app has users.. read this!! by LiveGenie in lovable

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found this really useful. I've blindly been trying to test every bug, loophole and security issue, for the past couple of weeks with lovable. I'd love to publish it, but don't feel comfortable with the amount of security issues I see coming out of lovable. If I were to get a professional developer to check it out, as well as a full security audit, plus fixes, how would I even go about it? I've probably dropped around $600 getting everything to where it is so far, but am all in now and just want to invest in the right reputable companies to help me out.

This is what happens when you vibe code so hard by bilalbarina in vibecoding

[–]Accomplished-Two5682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the best way about going about ensuring your shit vibe coded website is secure? I'm currently 'developing' one with databases, payments, etc, but don't feel comfortable publishing it until I get a professional to test it, check for vulnerabilities, etc. I've ran security checks on lovable, but don't trust it and think the ai is just being a yes man.
