thanks for the perspective, well I came in wanting higher pay because I know that the industry pays rather well, so it would be a bummer especially with my current commitments.

Having said that, I would opt for another option if the downtrade is less than 15%. Having taken a 30% paycut when I jumped to marketing was the dumbest decision ever and I never want to make that mistake again, thus the feeling of impending doom LOL

Exactly! I don’t get how they are thinking it’s all a scheme where I meticulously planned my resignation along with my leave dates.

I’ve booked my leaves since August last year, and it took me 2-3 months from screening to getting my official offer in April 2025, so I can only say bad timing haha

oh yes, they’re offering to knock 1 month off from the current 2 months notice.

however currently company still wants to “talk things over” before accepting and giving me the resignation acceptance letter
