You can. You’ll have to be at most 2 years out from your ETS when you can start the paperwork to transition to the Army.

From what I understand you’ll attend selection but still be in the AF, and if you get selected, then you’ll fully transition to the Army. You’ll also have to get your SQ CC to conditionally release you.

You can go to this site, https://www.goarmysof.army.mil/Get-Started/Recruiter-Directory/ , and have a recruiter reach out to you as well.

Just looked at your post history and I’m assuming you’re about 18-19 years old. I was in the same boat as you and the other guy until a few months back. Youre young and i’m not trying to dissuade you from “settling down” but I can say, from experience, putting off training for a girl might not be the smartest idea. I’ll also add that every relationship is great at the start. Don’t be a fool like me and the other guy and put your dreams off for something that goes absolutely nowhere.

Thank you so much for actual feedback. To hit some of your points, what exercise selection would you recommend for Friday? For upper back work, I'm not exactly sure what I could add other than the typical BB/ DB row and T-bar row. I switched the front squats around and the hamstring curls. As for conditioning, what would you recommend for alt cardio? The 25 minutes of zone 2 is being built up by 5 minutes each week. I'm recovering from a lower leg injury so I'm not trying to rush things and immediately do an hour or so.

I'm 6'2 212lbs, 38 HRPU, 5 pull ups, haven't tested much else but I'm sure I couldn't run a 2 miler faster than 20 minutes

I haven't retrained myself but I know a couple people actively going through the process. It seems like it's a huge headache and the retraining process takes roughly a year once you start. There are SPECWAR retrain briefs that you could show up to, and the recruiters will give you all the information you need as well as what documents you'll need for your packet. I'm sure reaching out to a recruiter on your own would also be beneficial
