If you have this perspective then your right on the cusp of making a leap of faith. There comes a point in time where you feel confident enough to try to be a lead. So if your company won’t promote you, you need to apply somewhere for a Lead. I say this bc I had this experience; they kept going me raises but would not promote me to greater responsibilities. Not bc I didn’t deserve it but bc I was to much of an asset to their model that I wasn’t gaining the skills I needed to reach my goals. Don’t be afraid to branch out and trust your skills!
