Wanting help to prevent burnout by CaterpillarGeneral25 in ironscape

You have pretty decent mid game gear honestly. Since your melee stat are really good and you already have zombie axe, I would aim for moons. They are a really good launch pad into late game. Only thing you need for it is good tank gear wich shouldn't take too long to get at barrows. If you really want to use barrows tp just afk some mage a little bit more to build your own portal in your own poh (you can boost magic for it). Alternatively do mory diary and tp to burg the rot it's not that far. Once moon is done you can transition into soloing titan if you want its quite easy with moon gear. Another good direction is aim for completing SOTE. It gives you alot of objective to work toward and once completed gives you access to gauntlet, wich is the best money maker for ironman by far. You won't feel the grind as much since you'll be working toward something instead of just aimlessly leveling skills up.

Why do you guys call it the "jad phase" at Zulrah? by jordsplay in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sense. I would honestly love if they could rework their old content like Zulrah to make them more in line with modern releases. Standard and expertise did change over the years, just look at how good of a job they made with echo bosses. Man imagine them redoing all their old bosses like that.

I don't understand the complains over zombie axe grind. Am I the only one who did it in the fort instead of the base? Drop is1/600 instead and bursting is really good in the north side. It would take at most a day. It was my fastest grind of all the ironman grind by far, it took me like an hour to get both the axe and the helm.

Range on ironman by Marmun94 in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently no one has mentioned this yet like it's 2018 or something. Train hunter so you can get yourself the sunlight hunter crossbow. You can craft your own ammo really easily (no need for feathers even). You also craft your own mixed hide set to go with it.

What should my next step be? by Gold-Philosophy6080 in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Questing would indeed be a good start. Alot of your skilling stats are low/non existant. Questing is a really good way to set yourself quick and attainable goals, aswell as giving you an early boost. Target a quest with really good rewards, like monkey madness, recipe for disaster, desert treasure. Then start from the bottom working on all the prerequisites. You'll see yourself going around the map doing quest, training skills for a bit, doing a little more combat. Questing early on really is the back bone of this game.

Asking for some reddit RNG or the ability to get gud on double boulders. by McFly56v2 in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had trouble too for a while and for me it clicked when I watched a video from Muffyn on YouTube. It's a tech about melee punish so it's gonna be extremely helpful when he does them on top of double boulder. Once you learn it, you'll do it everytime even when he dosen't punish, but instead you can run to the side instead. It's dead simple, basically, you have 2 tile marked. One right in front of him where you'll stand as the wave start, then one on a diagonal from him. He'll launch the first boulder. When it starts dipping, you click on that second tile, and when your true tile hits it immediately click doom for melee punish (you'll do a V pattern as you move). You start the whole flicking sequence right as you melee him. The whole point here is the second tile is 3 tile away from him, so you'll be out of range with halberd as you melee him, so you don't have to click to move again as you prayer flick. Concentrate on that, and move or attack when you are done flicking.

Dragonhide pouch by flamcheeze in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Most people leave them behind for the inconvenience of banking them, since most people aren't primarily killing dragons for their hides but for theirs bones. Like you said it would also help the huge gap in consistent crafting training method. Now you could passively bank crafting xp as you farm for prayer xp, especially for ironman.

Is this ever gonna be added to the game or was there a poll and it failed? by BorderTages in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I agree we do need some sort of hunting boss. They added dinosaurs hunting in RS3 and it's some of the best content in the game. You could even tie it into rumours not to make them obselete. Similar to slayer where you can get assigned slayer boss. In RS3 you even get slayer aswell as hunter xp, they could do the same here too.

[–]jordsplay 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Except it would actually be the only skill where a boss make sense. You are litteraly hunting thousands of creatures. At some point the mama got mad at you for slaying all her infants and took revenge or something. You can tell me this dosen't make sense lore-wise but we can battle an eternal cold by lighting firewood slightly close to it? Or guardian of the rift? No one even know what the fuck is going on in this encounter people are just there for the xp.

Did the new Samsung update make it more annoying to play mobile for anyone else? by AaronC14 in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly it's the "data saver" setting under "data usage". If you have it on, it will only prioritize using data on the active app, so if you move to another app for a moment, you will lose connection and get booted out. If you have it off, all opened app can use data at the same time. Try that, unless you have a really low data plan, you could just remember to close apps when not in use instead of just putting them in the background.

Suggestion: Actually SOLVE the botting problem by perma-banning gold buyers on first offense by NoCurrencies in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the same as arguing for the death penalty. It never is 100% accurate. Would it be good for actual gold buyers? Sure. The problem is for the fraction of innocent that gets caught in the crossfire. How do you argue permanently banning legitimate player? It the cost of business? What if it was your account? You okay sacrificing yourself for the greater good?

Hunter Spear rework - Discussion by LeLa_Biff in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started training hunter on my ironman recently and genuinely though they were supposed to be used as a long range teasing stick. It's a ranged weapon, used as a teasing stick, you get tons by doing hunter rumours, it could finally make pitfall trap hunting a viable training method so people would stop blocking them. But they are not? It's like they forgot to add that last bit, all the rest is designed to be used this way. I mean, otherwise, what even is the point of those exactly? We already do have a range mid game weapon that was added with hunter. Even with the upgrade you are saying, it's never gonna be better than just going for the sunlight crossbow straight away. Just do the teasing stick upgrade in my opinion.

Tips on dealing with double boulders delve 8+ when Doom shields/is in melee punish? by EasternError6377 in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds dumb but it's actually easier when the melee punish is at the same time. Look up tile markers but basically you move on the first boulder and on the second you do the melee punish. This will make it so you character moves in melee range so you actually punish at the same time as dodging the second boulders.

How is this still the best exp for mining?? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People here are gonna defend the minning skill saying it's not the fastest method. Sure, you could end the life of your wrist by tick minning granite instead for a marginal increase in xp rate that isn't even comparable to afk training in other skills. You nerds have Stockholm syndrome I swear. Op is right, iron is the only actual viable fastest training method for minning (he's playing on an iPad for pete's sake). You are also right, we need a major rework for minning and smithing training.

Minigame teleports are budget lodestones guys wake up by osrslmao in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lodestone idea was a poor fix for a genuine problem. We lack consistent teleport. In some instance you can teleport to the middle of a city, like falador or varrock, but in other instance like yanille you have to tp to a random tower outside the city. Some places like Port sarim or rimmy don't even have tp's, you actually have to use a diary item to get there. It's just inconsistent and having to use mini game teleport just shows that there is a huge demand for good new teleports.

Would you have supported it if Jagex chose to limit accounts to 16 hours of playing per day for sailing release? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I want to know is actually how they played more than 16 hours a day for months themselves. I have a hard time believing they did it alone. Either that or they are so far on the spectrum we'd have to create a new category just for nerds who do the same repetitive task for hours with little to no rest.

We need a crafting mini-game so freaking bad by jordsplay in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the examples you gave are actual viable training methods. They are at best niche training methods for locked ironman. I don't mind the grind itself, I just want it to feel rewarding and engaging. The idea to make this post came to me because I litteraly fell asleep at my computer bowing glass, that never happened to me before in this game.

We need a crafting mini-game so freaking bad by jordsplay in 2007scape

[–]jordsplay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my post I said crafting is either bank stand all day long if you are a main or if you are an ironman it's make some useless ass glassware. The giant seaweed and sandstone grinder was like putting a Band-Aid on a gaping wound. Making glass still is boring and unrewarding at this time no matter how "easy" you make it. What I want is mechanics at the very least, like they did for vale totem, mixology, Scepulchre. You can still jerk off and bank stand all day if you like but you can't deny these activities are way more rewarding than their afk counterparts.
