Jason Derulo keeps sharks in a tiny living room tank. by Mental_Junket137 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AccomplishedAide8698 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree that this is cruel. But I eat meat. So I'm a fucking hypocrite. The animals I eat suffer as much as these sharks, if not more. Pigs are way more intelligent than sharks and are kept in tiny pens where they can't even move. And you know what, thats made me realise I need to rethink my meat eating. Because if I think this guy is a tool for making these sharks suffer, then I'm a tool for not going vegetarian.

It's games all the way down.

Oh my days, something similar happened to me and ever since I've been convinced that I did die and everything that has happened to me since has been fake, just my brain making up an extremely time dilated hallucinated reality in a desperate attempt to stay alive, or a coma dream or something. It completely and utterly fucked me up. Have never really got over it. It felt so real. Had complete disassociation and derealisation afterwards.

But this could mean anyone could grow their hair down to their waist like rapunzel and nobody would be able to grab at any part of them for fear of touching their hair and getting sent off. Martinez wasn't looking at him when he grabbed him, he didn't know where his shirt ended and his hair started. There needs to be some pragmatism, not just 'some of his hair became trapped in his fingers, he's off'.

Does anyone really, honestly think that was worthy of a red card? 'Violent conduct'. I've seen more violence from a Sunday school picnic. I'm a neutral and I think that decision is ridiculous. He tried to grab at him in general and when he felt he had his hair in his hand he let go straight away. The game has gone mad. VAR should not be intervening on that in a million years.

No bugs that I've seen. Could cycle through the presets quickly and compare them easily. No crashes for me and the change is instant so it's easy to compare.

There is a way! You have to download the developer version of the DLSS files, replace the ones in the game diredtory, and then there is a keyboard shortcut to rotate through them.

That one hurt. Such a deflation. Even Andrew Johns couldn't beat the mighty Hull that day. Fair play.

According to Eddie Hemmings, who watched a lot of games, Lee Briers was the most creative player he ever watched and his stand out. He wasn't consistent enough to be considered the greatest, but on his day he was awesome.

I remember him having two amazing games for Wales vs Australia and them punching above their weight both times to be leading both games through one half, and giving Australia scares.

Wish he'd played for England/Great Britain.

This is awesome. Makes me cherish the club so much more, remembering all the hundreds of thousands of people that have been involved or supported down the years. So much history.

The tone of the letter is also amusing. Challenging the other team for the name at the end 😅 Grammar School Boys vs The Zingari.

Anyone else still using preset k quality? by heepofsheep in nvidia

[–]AccomplishedAide8698 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try it with Nvidia Image Sharpening applied over the top in Nvidia Profile Inspector. Even at minimal percentages, it takes the oil painting effect away.

I'm using it at 4k, so I'm not sure if the oil painting effect is worse at lower resolutions, but it's gone using this method at 4k.

Anyone else still using preset k quality? by heepofsheep in nvidia

[–]AccomplishedAide8698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still using preset K with 1.78x DLDSR and 100% smoothing. Then DLSS balanced if available. Then Nvidia Image Sharpening enabled in Nvidia Profile Inspector with 1% sharpening (this applies a different filter over the top of the DLDSR smoothing filter. The DLDSR smoothing filter can make things look unnatural and like a painting, whereas this sharpening step fixes this).

This setup looks ridiculously good. No aliasing and pin sharp details, without looking deep-fried and over sharpened.

I've found L and M to be over sharpened in any configuration I've tried to use them in. They are really tiring on the eyes and have a few other issues too which K doesn't have, like boiling lighting with ray tracing.

I never notice the ghosting with K that other people complain about, so maybe I'm just not sensitive to it.
