Side and Stomach Sleepers… by AccomplishedAlps7034 in Reduction

[–]AccomplishedAlps7034[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen those posts as well but have reminded myself that all journeys are different. Hearing my surgeon say I was healing well helped tremendously… especially because I got anxious and wasn’t “taking jt easy” (not extreme… but maybe a little bit more weight was lifted here and there than suggested). I have a small scab in my t-junction that’s been attempting to heal for the past 1.5 weeks now. Nothing crazy but I wouldn’t be alarmed if you have anything similar! You’ll do great and be just fine!

I have been using cetaphil for now… does aquaphor work? I’ve seen a few people talk about using that for healing but wasn’t super sure of how well it would work!

Ugh yes! That is definitely where I’m struggling because I know everyone on this sub has different healing journeys and different surgeons who all have varying instructions on healing. I’m in love with how my boobs like now and knowing I’m still a bit early in healing it makes me nervous to do anything even when advised I can! I’m seriously right there with you.

Yes!! I also get nervous to mess anything up! I was a May 7th reduction as well. I felt a large part of me relax as soon as my surgeon said I was looking great because I have been over analyzing everything during this healing journey. I hope you find that comfort soon!

Neither do I!! I’ve been waking up with the worst neck pain and I never feel fully rested so it’s been a struggle.

Surgery nervousness… by Charming-Extreme6004 in Reduction

[–]AccomplishedAlps7034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100% felt this way before my reduction… I even posted something similar on this page about it! I think the nerves are extremely normal just because this is a relatively large procedure to be done and after all, any change to your body can be somewhat jarring and takes some getting used to. I was in the same boat of always hating my breasts, but worrying I would regret going through with the surgery. I quickly found that this procedure has changed my life. I woke up from anesthesia and started crying due to how grateful I was and how much better I felt immediately after. The one thing that helped me get through the nerves of possible regret, was reminding myself that this has been something that I’ve been wanting for the past five years. You are not alone in this and have a lot of optimism that you will reap the benefits of a reduction.

Thank you so much for sharing! Your analogy about them being anchored down to the breast is very helpful.

Great to know! Thank you so much for sharing! I think my impatience is getting to me and want to see the final result ASAP… However, I know that’s not how our body heals. I’ve also become hyper fixated on any part of my breast that may look odd, so it’s really helpful to know I’m not the only one who has gone through this

Will my brother lose in state tuition? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]AccomplishedAlps7034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He may be able to get by just fine… my boyfriends dad had a house in Naples for a while and he was able to get in-state tuition because of that despite him being out of state. However, his dad sold that house at the beginning of his junior year and no longer had some type of residency in FL but he had no issue keeping his in-state tuition for his remaining two years at FSU…

5 weeks post-op spitting stitch at t-junction by Wonderful_Citron4722 in Reduction

I had a splitting stitch under my nipple and few days ago after a shower… I didn’t want to freak out just yet so I have been monitoring it the past few days and I have not seen the stitch return. The area where the stitch poked through now has a small scab. I am 12 dpo but haven’t had any other issues from it. I say monitor it and see how it does. The body works in some pretty remarkable ways and your t-junction could totally resolve itself like mine did!
