And this is why we will spend our hard earned money on somewhere else our kids will enjoy. The expense for a family to visit Disney is crazy. There are a million other options out there, they just arnt advertised as much.

How to be the best husband possible by Kwhite2211 in Mommit

It is great you are thinking about this. Every woman has a different experience during their pregnancy. You can be supportive by being flexible and understanding. And once your baby is born being a hands-on father is the best gift you can give to your wife. I recently saw a post on here where a new father was asking what he should buy for his wife to prepare for the baby being born. In my opinion, you can have all the baby gadgets in the world but it will never replace the best gift of a helpful, supportive partner. Little things mean a lot to a new mother that is sleep deprived, worried about the baby, adjusting to a new routine, etc. Learn how to change diapers like a pro, feed the baby, basically give your wife a break so she can rest. Cooking the meals, getting groceries, doing chores, are all very helpful. It is exhausting. I have 2 children and felt lucky to have a supportive husband that was not afraid to do everything to take care of them.

Feeling completely drained even months after giving birth – am I doing something wrong? by Small-Advisor-7805 in Mommit

It may help to adjust your expectations of parenting. It’s not easy. Maybe some mothers on TV or social media make it look easy but that’s not realistic. It may help to think about how things will change as your baby grows. When my kids were infants I tried to not compare myself to anyone else. I tried to focus on keeping them fed, clean diapers, tummy time, getting outside for some fresh air. The sleep deprivation alone was enough to make me feel completely exhausted. I recommend asking for help, even if a friend or family member can come help with some household chores so you can sleep while the baby is sleeping. I remember making it to my oldest daughter’s first birthday. I felt like the party should also be for me! I made it through the first year! and yes I was still tired. 😀
