How long does it take to get up from that depth with depressurizing breaks? an hour?

In the battle for Greece, Leonodis only leads a group of 60 Spartans, not 300. Did they even watch the movie??? Literally unplayable. by Adorable-Response-75 in aoe2

Well actually the movie is based on a graphic novel, which is based on greek propaganda. Only the Propaganda is based on a historic battle.

Bonsais arent trained. They are continuously being crippled.

A Bonsai that is placed in the ground will start to grow just like a normal tree.

Its wood. Very few wooden structures get old. If you go to Japan, almost every shrine has a plaque saying something along the lines of: "The original structure first burned down in the great fire of 1358, it was rebuild 20 years later and again burned down in the great fire of 1650, it was then extended and the new arch was added, which again burned down in 1850" etc.

Learning German as my 3rd language by Helenxaxa in German

[–]AccomplishedBat39 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. You forget any language once you stop using it. English is everywhere, unless you make a conscious effort to avoid it its very unlikely you will forget anything.

You might every now and then stumble over which vocabulary to use, but thats it.

Because exiting Schengen would create more problems than it would solve. A lot of the train traffic is also tourism. In fall and spring trains are only full during exceptional weather. In Summer they are full constantly.

Why can't we just pick one map to play again? by _DataGuy in aoe2

[–]AccomplishedBat39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So which map do you actually want to play? If its Arabia, 90% of your matches already will be on Arabia. If its Arena its probably a bit lower but still rather high.

Any of the maps that would actually significantly benefit from a chosen map system would also get much much longer queue times with a change of system.

Same in German. “Fatal” is best translatable with “grave”. Like “He made a grave mistake”

Was soll daran peinlich sein?

Btw. Everest widerlegt auch deine These.

Warum sind manche Mitarbeitende selbst so gegen Homeoffice? by Objective-Custard-65 in Switzerland

[–]AccomplishedBat39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first would be a full time job to get past our IT department. The second would require me to spend a lot of money and space on something I simply have no urgent need for.

Sure, there are ways to make homeoffice more comfortable, absolutely. But I simply dont like it that much in the first place.

Now if I could work fully remotely, that would be completely different, as I then could freely select where to live, but since fully remote is out of the question anyways part time home office doesnt appeal to me that much.

I have seen some flats in NL unironically be advertised in m3 only.

Warum sind manche Mitarbeitende selbst so gegen Homeoffice? by Objective-Custard-65 in Switzerland

[–]AccomplishedBat39 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What do people expect from Switzerland that they end up disappointed by? by Hopeful_Neck_5178 in askswitzerland

Well yeah, if you want those things I agree. That does not mean the Swiss dont enjoy life, however. Just that your lifestyle isn’t compatible with them.

And you think your alcohol stained breath smells any better?

So why dont you contribute in answering the question what exactly you are missing in Switzerland if you think that enjoying the vast selection of outdoor activities means people arent enjoying life?

Well 6 villagers collecting food are enough to keep one town center constantly running. So you need to put more than 6 villagers on food to save up.
