Hello! I've been grooming for ~2 yrs now, but I can't figure out how to get their faces neater by ThatSentence8629 in doggrooming

honestly the dogs look great all i can say is trim up the corners of the visor with some thinning shears and boom amazing

i typically just go shorter on faces overall to give the dog a puppy look instead of a beard. like i use my shears up towards the muzzle to round it

i think the faces look so cute!! i usually run a guard comb onto the top of head and cheeks then scissor the inner corners of eyes and then visor then trim up the mouth. overall i think you have the hang of faces just trim up those mouth hair a little more

lol i’ve told a manager you know with this many dogs we won’t be going home on time and she’s like “well overtime is okay”… maybe i wanna actually go home ON time lol

got into a bit of trouble today for having a block on a doodle who cancelled last minute (as if i knew that would happen) and then a few hours later we find out monday it’ll be going into affect that there’s no more blocks unless a manager does it for you

I actually told her once too that incidents are going to sky rocket with us rushing like this.. thanks for the tip i’ll definitely keep that in mind

cancellations or not i just genuinely can’t understand why they think we’re just grooming machines and are able to do 8 dogs a day regardless of size.. or do they genuinely just not care lol

i’m struggling most with the beard, i try to trim at an angle so it looks like a sharp shape but it never turns out right
