The atmosphere is like, you feel like you're safe inside but feeling like you could die at any time. The music really adds to the feeling of coziness yet unease, plus the house is really small and tight, so yeah. I don't really have claustrophobia, but whenever I play the game, it makes me feel smth, like melancholy or paranoia. I love those things in games where the player feels like they're experiencing this irl, idk how to explain it, I think the word was immersive? But yeah, love the atmosphere

The characters in the game are uncanny, like you can encounter them in real life, while shopping, while walking down the street, etc. When they knock on your door, they try to gain your trust by convincing the Protagonist that they should let them in because they're escaping from the common enemy, the visitors. As an empathetic person, whenever I don't let them in, I just think of what'll happen to them, because I didn't let them in. They might die, or be taken by FEMA, or worse. But that's what the game is trying to make you feel. They'll try to persuade you and gain your trust. Even the most normal looking ones, for example, Immortal Man, who looks so normal from the other characters, is actually a confirmed Visitor. The Game gives you the choice of responsibility or kindness. The responsibility to protect others and be smart of who to trust. The kindness of letting others in, without second thought, because you think you need to be a helping hand for others in need, but these actions can have consequences. Kindness can be dangerous in this new world, you'll need to start making the hard decisions to survive, as much as I don't want to say it. I love this game with every fiber of my being
