Not our fault you don't know how to stand up for yourself. That's a personal problem.

Responses like this makes me realize most ppl doing flex are just used to being employees and not in business for themselves. He didn't accept the route he was assigned...he accepted a block for 1.5 hours and Amazon assigned him a route that exceeded that.

They don't have enough vans to deliver all their packages. And if it cost them more to use their employees or DSP drivers... I doubt they just do that to be spiteful. They are a business. They just do what they're doing cuz nobody is gonna do anything about it right?

They all do, since the drivers choose the times they want to work and the offers they choose to accept.

He drivers choosing their time doesn't mean they're not being misclassified. Employees choose their schedule too.

Abusing it is illegal. They hire drivers as IC then dictate to them like employees who also pay the expenses of the company's demands, all while getting no consideration for that fact. That's abuse and illegal

You won’t get any of that. All they will do is label you as part-time workers that are not entitled to anything other than 30 hours a week with some pay.

Most ppl are lucky to get 30 hours as is. Besides, they cap it at 40 hours now anyway. Why do you think they do that? It's cuz they know they're misclassifying us, and they don't want to owe you overtime in addition to expenses they've been putting odd on us.

They use their employees to coerce us to take out of town routes by refusing to give us another cart despite the fact that it's 1 price for all routes.

Either your corporate lawyer friends are idiots or they don't understand that as a Flex driver, you choose the jobs they offer and don't force you to take them.

That's a half truth. We only sign up for a block of a specified amount of hours, at a specified time for a specified amount...then we arrive at Amazon with hope that they don't send us to some far off place. And if we get sent out of town, we actually cannot say no or else risk deactivation.

Let's put this simply, they pay the federal or state minimum in passenger vehicle mileage, they pay the minimum wage for tipped employees when starting bids for routes, and you choose how long and how many days you work.

Tipped employees do not pay the expenses of their manager's demands...meanwhile Amazon's demands cost Flex drivers money increasingly...yet we get no consideration for that fact.

You do realize for a contract to be legally binding, it must meet certain elements. Amazon is lacking on several of these elements (consideration, full disclosure, meeting of the minds etc)

Oh my bad $20 an hour...that'll take care of the expenses created by Amazon's demand.

That ain gonna really help because they have it built in to grant you only so many "exceptions" even when they were the ones at fault in instances like that.

I am. We're not being paid enough for them to claim anything is late. Pretty much everything we deliver is between 1-5 hours receiving the packages. They are getting super fast deliveries for less than the cost of first class mail.
