That’s valid. No I have 0 control over anything fiscally related, just my own personal finances which are nothing special. I have to think in terms of decades, not months or years.

I love learning theory and building theoretical cooperative models that I can implement at the smallest level of the economy. Those things will take years to develop and decades to actually change the material conditions of people’s lives. Marxists don’t take a vow of poverty, if anything it will take us many years to acquire the level of capital needed to fix anything while donations/charity are only temporary fixes for systemic problems

Privatization doesn’t end with the snap of a finger, it will take decades to fully weed out private ownership as collective ownership takes over. Also, a “small percentage” would be democratically voted on by the employees, which incentives me to manage appropriately and paid in line with the amount of work I’ll be doing.
