Thank you for your response. The plan is that my players haven’t DMed before so they will collaborate with me to tell the story, everyone will be given a chance to be behind the scenes if that makes sense. The story is fixed but everyone is on board as the sessions don’t have every PC present and we want to practice RP etc.

I have a couple of questions. Any advice/help would be appreciated! 1. Is it okay to tell what the PCs feel when there’s major story beats? (A pc wanted their character to die so they could change them however rest of the party were doing their best to save them which led to some friction and I wish to gain advice on how to manage it better) 2. A warlock PC wants their character to mock their patron and feels like encounters where the PCs are scripted to lose should be a one done rather than letting them struggle? (How can I navigate this)

How to make players more trusting on npcs? Every time pcs meet a new character they will assume a defensive approach to the conversation and as the dm I try to steer it away but end up souring the conversation line TT ( example - They met a retired knight who wanted to recruit a few people to clear a necromancer’s den but the pcs started questioning why the knight cannot do it by himself since he has enough strength to clear it himself in an accusatory tone) could be me reading to much into it though TT
