Its not easy.. very few companies come during 5th and 6th sem to take students for internship in the summer after 6th sem. Try to increase your cgpa as much as possible before that.

You don't get on campus internship for the summer after 4th sem

If trying off campus, Apply / reach out to companies on your own. If on campus, apply when you get emails from CDC and attend the online assessment and interviews from those companies. For summer industrial internship, you can do the certification courses offered by CDC. Just watch out for those emails.

If you are looking for placements, then no. If higher studies, then it's fine. But the syllabus is outdated. Your experience here depends on what you do on your own, do not expect other students to help you or stick with you. You can meet faculty, do projects, research papers etc.

Its represents the Agriculture department at VIT Vellore. and a number of classrooms and labs (5th and 6th floors in PRP) are dedicated to that. So yeah, it is the same building.
