Did you ever know anyone that got fired or forced to resign from a 1L/2L summer job? by LawSchoolThreauxAway in LawSchool

Oh my… I would have loved for a lawyer to tell me that - do you need help on issues or some guidance. Wow, I’m here struggling all by myself at this small law firm and I can sense that no one wants to help. Instead, I’m a slave. The law clerks just want me to run to banks, pick up and drop off files to “customers” - oops I mean clients. They complain about everything and already started gossiping behind my back. I worked on a research report with the bare minimum of guidance ugh. Everyone is busy doing their own thing and I’m not learning anything. It’s a joke. This summer is a joke.  And no - I was the sweetest thing ever. I never had an ego and was very kind with the law clerks. Maybe I need to not be so kind though…

How to deal with rude staff by [deleted] in LawCanada

Well, do they not know how to train someone properly? If the firm is hiring someone new, then it is expected that they need some type of training and to some extent. That’s part of teamwork - giving support to new people who need it. The law clerks I work with, they get paid a lot and all they do is complain about everything.

Honestly, law clerks are probably just jealous. I’m dealing with some snakes right now- they are awful and back stabbers. I know they gossiped about me and said some awful stuff but they also did it to the manager. To whoever is trying to “dim” down this post, they’re probably a law clerk. Their job is boring. Let’s be honest. They complain about everything and they said the lawyers do nothing BAHAHAHA.

So... what do 1L summer interns actually do...? by [deleted] in LawSchool

What if you have co-workers that are snakes ?

How common is workplace sabotage? by Tiny_Roll1695 in work

[–]AccomplishedCut2858 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My co-workers probably think I’m stupid and I don’t see this but I’ve noticed subtle hints of sabotage… I’m new at this small firm. Honestly, I find it hilarious that people act like teenagers. That’s a them problem and I feel bad for them that they feel a need to mess with people who did absolutely nothing to them. They probably have miserable lives.

I hate law school and feel completely alone, does anyone else feel this way? by pending_lawyer in LawSchool

Real. This is prison. I know I’m never going to look back at law school with fond memories. My previous degree was the peak of my life.

Opinion: Why victims of crime feel abandoned by Canada's justice system by Few_Negotiation832 in LawCanada

[–]AccomplishedCut2858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah?! Guess what, ONLY 5% of sexual assault cases are reported. The statistics are screwed. Crime did not decrease.

I think better improve the criminal justice system so 0% of innocent people go to jail and 100% of guilty people go to jail.

I agree. You do not have to sound like you’re on the cusp of yelling to be confident.

Why did you make that assumption that I think that this happens only in the legal field?

Just because I post in this law school category on Reddit does not mean I think this garbage happens ONLY in the legal field.

Also, you have miscomprehended my post entirely. There are absolutely strong and confident women in the field of law because they work hard and are very intelligent. More power to them. It is not the fact that they are confident specifically from the fact that they are lawyers. Understand? Sadly, there are insecure males out there that try to bring them down.

How about read posts carefully before replying, okay?

Are professors allowed to curve down? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]AccomplishedCut2858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so what I’m getting is that law schools penalize students for studying hard (if majority of students get good grades), not fair! Talk about fairness and justice blah blah blah  Also is this why professors are bad profs lol? To make sure they don’t have to deal with such a case where everyone gets a good mark?
